She'll always be a mean person. Fat or thin, you'll always be the better person.
|
You cant help but think that people that mean and vicious can only exist in books and movies...But I have worked in retail, and there is no better place to see the really dark side of people.
I would watch people berate me, their spouses shopping with them, total strangers, etc etc etc.. Even after watching such things over the course of several decades, it still amazes me. WHY would anyone wish to be that unpleasant? I remember watching one woman, and the way she spoke to her husband, and I couldnt help but wonder why in the world they ever got together. My grandmother was such a woman, honestly. A bitter, mean, vicious old bat. I know, its a terrible thing to say about my grandmother, but lord..it was true. As I watched my grandmother sometimes, I was just shocked. I always told myself then, and even do now, that there must be SOMETHING she simply didnt show to the rest of the world, because my grandfather was one of the kindest sweetest men who ever walked the face of the earth. He never had an unkind word to say to anyone, and as my father put it, "grandpa wouldnt say **** if he had a mouthful." So he must have seen something..there must be a hidden part she was afraid to show everyone else, because he adored her all the way to his death 3 weeks after their 50th wedding anniversary. I try to assume those kind of people just had a really bad day, or something like that. Sometimes it works..sometimes not. |
I'm a big believer of Karma....what ever negativity she puts out there will be returned to her.
|
MUst agree with romancediva, I too believe karma will come back and bite that lady in the butt!
and I would've punched her. seriously. I have no patience for people like that. |
Would she have done this if you didn't roll down the window and give her the "look?" In this day and age of people whipping out guns and shooting others, its best to be nonconfrontational. So it would have taken a few more minutes (which it did anyway) but you would probably have avoided that scene completely.
|
That lady sounds miserable and crazy don't let her unhappiness contaminate you!
|
I'm sorry this happened to you, but I do believe the lady has a mental problem of some sort.
Please do not let this have any effect on your weight-loss journey. The world is full of people who say mean things, and we must just let the mean things go in one ear and out the other. |
Trust me, that woman has issues that have nothing to do with you. I'm sorry you had to be the one to be there that day when she needed to attack someone.
|
She probably was attacked
Honestly, she probably WAS attacked at some point and will get attacked. Maybe we should feel sorry for her but then again she might as well deserve it.
|
This happened to me once in a parking garage. Women called me a "fat *****" and I just looked at her and said "Well, I'd rather be a fat ***** than an old hag!" She was so pissed. And, for the record she did look like an old witchy poo.
When people are unhappy with themselves they often lash out at others. You'll get over it. I have to say that I'm surprised your Husband would see that go down and not do anything. Time to step up DH! |
A woman well in her 50s still name calling?
Wow, I'm more of a grown lady than she is and I'm only 15. I've had days like that too where people are just so rude. Today I was driving and I had the right-of-way and some other teenage girl, who wasn't paying attention, proceeded to pull out in front of me. I stopped quickly before I hit her and she gave ME a dirty look! As if she was trying to tell ME to pay attention. :snooty: Some people, I swear. I'm just glad no one was hurt. |
i agree with quilter... it could have been avoided, you have to realize there is alot of terrible drivers out there :) who do not understand right of way!
People are so unstable now a days, my dad calls it the YOU generation ... because they blame everything on someone else.. its never "them" and is always "its YOUR fault". Side note to Sierra: wow, your 15 and getting married? |

shy from my 18th birthday. Young? Yes. Naive? A little. Trust me, I've heard it all before. We're too young and should wait, etc. But we've talked about it and talked about it and it's what we want to do. We've been together since we were 13 and 14 (now we're close to being 16 and 17) and he's my best friend and future husband. :) |
I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of letting it bother you. Some people never leave Jr. High School!
I would however use it to fuel me to push myself a little more during my workouts and cook and eat just a little healthier. Maybe try a new healthy food or recipe. My motto however for ANYONE being mean and disrespectful toward me is this. "Karma is ALWAYS the bigger B#&*#ch!!!" She will get hers. |
yes and yes :) but we've all been there before! good luck! :)
