Kind of off topic, but back pain.

So I have noticed that my upper back and shoulders have been sore and stiff lately, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I have two ideas of what may be causing it.

First off, maybe TMI, but as I've been losing my weight, my boobs decided they weren't going anywhere. I am currently between a 34D and a 34DD. I've heard that having larger breasts can cause back pain, and there's also the fact that my body is probably not used to it yet. I have started to wear more supportive bras, but that doesn't fix everything. Surgery is not an option at this point because they aren't THAT big.

Secondly, I sit in an office chair all day. I just switched to one that has a bit more lumbar support, but I still happen to be very short in comparison to my desk, and narrow in comparison to my armrests, so my feet don't touch the floor and my arms have to stretch outward. I try to keep a posture such that my abs are tight and my core muscles are supporting me. A new chair isn't really an option either.

Does anyone have ideas as to how to make my back hurt less? I'm not in excruciating pain, but it is pretty uncomfortable and I don't want to develop more severe back problems by not addressing things.

one idea- get something you can rest your feet on. you want your knees bent and your legs at 90 degree angle if you can. depending on the height of your chair - a small stool or even a phone book could be enough to help.

boobs play a large (haha) part of it too, not much to do about that. but for better posture a pillow or adjustable air pillow can help. i did physical therapy and they gave me one of these and it helps a lot.

as for the arms- take a look at your chair, they might be adjustable afterall. and if not- if you're in a cubicle/call center environment talk to HR with a dr's note they may be required to get you a better chair.

here's a link to a similar back pillow

And work on strengthening your core--abs and back exercises. That's a very good way to ease back pain.

I am large in the chest too and sit in a bad support chair all day too. I also have bad posture.

My back has been really sore these past few days. I found the thing that helps me the most, is when sitting my chair I put a heating pad on my back where it is sore.
