Just a rant...

So I got my medical marijuana card earlier this year because I have fibromyalgia. I'm only 19 years old and in pain EVERY day. So I've been eating good and getting out of the house and DOING THINGS. We went to the mall today and I was getting very sore so we came home so I could do my marijuana. Well, I live with my gf in her grandma's house, and her grandma is obsessed with the bible and has her bible friends over and all that jazz. I don't really care that they are into the bible or talk about the bible. But it pisses me off when they start making comments about how we live our life. When we got home from the mall my gf's grandma's friend made a comment on my gf's hoodie. It's just a HIM hoodie if anyone knows the band. The hoodie is simple black with a blue skull and heartagram and candles on the front. Just a simple chest logo. She says how it attracts the wrong people and how she'd never allow such filth in her house. But it's not even her house, she's in our house. AND IT GETS WORSE! My gf's grandma agreed with her! Ironically I picked out the hoodie to begin with and my gf's GRANDMA was the one who bought it. It was a gift to my gf. It's just so ridiculous how one person with one belief has to voice out all there comments like they're the virgin mary! I don't go out of my way to tell other people that how they live there life is horrible and I wouldn't live like that and blah blah blah. I don't tell people that what they believe is wrong and I especially don't make comments on how people dress or there make up or what religious book they read....Needless to say I was in a bad mood and horrible pain for three way too long hours. Rawr... ok I'm done.

It can definitely be hard to be judged and misjudged and I'm sorry you had to go through that. A quote I read the other day came to mind as I read your post:

"I preach the Bible every day, and sometimes I open my mouth to do it." (I thought of this quote due to these ladies' reading the Bible)

Obviously it has to do with our actions and how we choose to live our lives. You may be 19 and these other ladies quite a bit older, but don't underestimate your opportunity or ability to show them how to live with compassion, understanding, and patience. Sometimes taking the high road and responding with grace and dignity can be hard, but the rewards can be great. Good luck!
