I didn't notice, but I may not have seen all of it. Was somebody skating to it (although except in ice dancing you can't use a song with words) ?

No, it was before they announced someone's score. My friends & I were laughing about it.

When did they start calling it "supercombined"? Even the current edition of David Wallechinsky's Olympic reference book still calls it "Alpine combined"

The commentators finally offered an explanation: a "regular" combined = downhill + 2 slalom runs; "supercombined" = downhill + 1 slalom run

Ice dancing: One move some of the teams should have avoided in their folk dances is that one where one of the members sticks her heel into the ice out to one side, as if to pivot around it, and flexes the other knee (the team that did the "Australian aboriginal" dance did that, and one other I saw but I forget who). The result looks comical, and if they were trying to keep it authentic (I realize the originals of these folk dances were not designed for ice skaters) it defeats the purpose. It reminds me of the number in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes pretend to be wind-up dolls

You and your friends must have ears like mass spectrometers, I made a point of listening to the background noises in the kiss-n-cry during the ice dancing final and couldn't hear any music. (Virtue & Moir 1, Davis & White 2 YEAH!)

Okay, I am late. That's what happens when I don't come to 3FC for a few months at a time. The next few days are going to be gooood. I was in Vancouver last weekend for some games, almost want to go back this weekend. But it is going to be soooo crazy.

I have never gotten into the Olympics before now, but being there was so amazing.

Here is one of my flame pics! Sorry for the tag on it, I don't have another copy handy right now. :(
