East Coast Snow Storm
 

Holy Cow is there A LOT of snow in my front yard. The news said there is about 15 inches outside, but my yard stick reads 20. The last time I remember seeing this much snow I was about 12. Other than that western PA just doesn't see this much snow at one time. everything is closed so I think I'll go outside and make a snow man!

Is anyone from the DC area, I hear they are supposed to get over 30 inches???

Yep, I'm in Fairfax, VA, about 20 miles outside DC proper. I don't know how much snow has fallen in my yard, but I just went outside to clear off my heat pump and the snow was a few inches above my knees. Dulles Airport (10 miles away) is reporting 20 inches.

It's pretty and kinda fun, just because it's so unusual to get this much snow during a DC winter, but I'm not looking forward to the Great Dig Out.

DC area and yeah we are predicted to get 30 inches. It is snowing pretty hard right now.

I am in the Eastern Panhandle of WV near the skinniest part of MD...I went to feed the birds and the snow is up to my butt...I am almost 5'6'...........and it's still snowing...predictions say it will taper off by 3 and should be finished by 6 and then the wind will pick up.....lots of drifting expected....

I'm in Annapolis, MD. I haven't been outside yet, but our car is totally burried!! I couldn't even see it!! I beginning to really hate the snow. I'm ready to move back to the West Coast. After these last 2 duty stations I can add rain & snow to my list of dislikes, lol. Maybe I am a true Arizona girl after all.

Wow.. I cant' imagine that much snow.... I'm in Memphis, and we're getting about 6" today.. and you would think it was 6 foot, almost everything closed... EEKK!!

Yeah, you guys south of us got nailed pretty bad :( We got lucky in Central NJ with only about 6" but just 25 miles south of us got 18"! But it looks like we're not out of the woods yet. New storm is coming through Tues night into Wed and what missed us this weekend is going to be hitting us straight on. I'm stretching my back & getting those shovels ready. Another storm on the way...Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday 5 to 12 inches expected!! My road is a one lane mess...without a 4 wheel drive vehicle...I will be stuck here for a few more days!!

Our weather reports are saying 10 to 20 inches.

YIKES!! my estimate was from earlier today..I will go look again...

Edit---mine is still saying total accumulation up to 12 inches

Global warming is sitting around sunning here in Alaska...we have had a horrible winter, it keeps warming up to the thirties and even 40...enough to melt and slush and cr@p. Miserable weather.

Another storm hits. And I'm home alone. If my hubby didn't have duty today, then he'd be home with me right now, and I wouldn't feel so miserable. He's not coming home until tomorrow. I wanna pack up my bags and head out west.
