I am and can do nothing without my Lord and Savior...but with Him there is nothing I can't do that is according to His will :carrot:

JUST AS I AM WITHOUT ONE PLEA

Just as I am, without one plea,
but that thy blood was shed for me,
and that thou bidst me come to thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

2. Just as I am, and waiting not
to rid my soul of one dark blot,
to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

3. Just as I am, though tossed about
with many a conflict, many a doubt,
fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

4. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
sight, riches, healing of the mind,
yea, all I need in thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

5. Just as I am, thou wilt receive,
wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
because thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

6. Just as I am, thy love unknown
hath broken every barrier down;
now, to be thine, yea thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

I have this song on my ipod, and it always makes me think of overcoming those moments that may seem huge, like your stuck and can't get out of them, but you persevere and do overcome.

U2 Stuck in the Moment

I'm not afraid of anything in this world
There's nothing you can throw at me that I haven't already heard
I'm just trying to find a decent melody
A song that I can sing in my own company

I never thought you were a fool
But darling, look at you
You gotta stand up straight
Carry your own weight
These tears are going nowhere, baby

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment
And now you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better
Now you're stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it

I will not forsake the colours that you bring
The nights you filled with fireworks, they left you with nothing
I am still enchanted by the light you brought to me
I listen through your ears, through your eyes I can see

And you are such a fool
To worry like you do
I know it's tough
And you can never get enough
Of what you don't really need now, my, oh my

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it
Oh love, look at you now
You've got yourself stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it

I was unconscious, half asleep
The water is warm till you discover how deep
I wasn't jumping, for me it was a fall
It's a long way down to nothing at all

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better
Now you're stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it

And if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if our way should falter
Along the stony pass
And if, and if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if your way should falter
Along this stony pass
It's just a moment
This time will pass

My theme song for my life is Sweet Jesus.

Sweet Jesus, my Savior, you are my faithful friend
You made me, you know me
You see my every sin
And my soul is amazed by this gift of your grace
And these arms that take me in
Sweet Jesus, my Savior, You are my faithful friend

Sweet Jesus, my shelter, you are my faithful friend
The refuge I run to when my world comes closing in
Why should I be afraid when I know I am saved
By the arms that take me in
Sweet Jesus, my shelter, you are my faithful friend

Sweet Jesus, my shepherd, you are my faithful friend
You hold me, you lead me, I'll follow til the end
And once more I will say on that beautiful day
When your arms take me in
Sweet Jesus, my shepherd, you are my faithful friend
Sweet Jesus my Savior you are my faithful friend.

I love the Jill Phillip's/Selah version. YouTube Link

"Raise A Little ****" by Trooper. An oldies song from a Canadian band in the seventies.

If you don't like what you got/why don't you change it/If your world is all screwed up rearrange it/If you don't like what you see/why don't you fight it/if you know there's something wrong/why don't you right it

I was listening to my MP3 player last nite and realised I had forgot to mention the song that always gets my off my butt and makes me ready for another round in the ring

Fighter - Christina Aguilera

Got me through a very messy bitter divorce and everytime life kicks me in the teeth, this song helps me fight back.

Brad Paisley- Welcome to the Future

When I was ten years old
I remember thinkin' how cool it would be
When we were goin' on an eight hour drive
And I could just watch TV

And I'd have given anything
To have my own Pac-Man game at home
I used to have to get a ride down to the arcade
Now I've got it on my phone

Hey, glory, glory, hallelujah
Welcome to the future

My grandpa was in World War II
He fought against the Japanese
He wrote a hundred letters to my grandma
Mailed 'em from his base in the Philippines

I wish they could see this now
[Incomprehensible]
'Cause I was on a video chat this morning
With a company in Tokyo

Hey, everyday is a revolution
Welcome to the future

Hey, look around it's all so clear
Hey, wherever we would go and when we
Hey, so many things I never thought I'd see
Happening right in front of me

I had a friend in school
Running back on a football team
They burned a cross in his front yard
For asking out the home coming queen

I thought about him today
And everybody who's seen what he's seen
From a woman on a bus
To a man with a dream

Hey, wake up Martin Luther
Welcome to the future
Hey, glory, glory, hallelujah
Welcome to the future

I'm going to go with Defying Gravity from Wicked (cutting and pasting bits from it, since it has some speaking and some plot, as most songs in musicals do)

Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you can't pull me down!

I'm through accepting limits
''cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!
I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down:

So if you care to find me
Look to the western sky!
As someone told me lately:
"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
And if I'm flying solo
At least I'm flying free
To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me
Tell them how I am
Defying gravity
I'm flying high
Defying gravity
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in all of Oz
No Wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!

My theme the last few years has been Gary Allan's "Life Ain't Always Beautiful":

Quote:

But the struggles make me stronger
And the changes make me wise
And happiness has its own way
Of taking its sweet time.
Lately, though, it's been Radney Foster's "A Little Revival". (That's a link to audio of the song, by the way.)

EZ, that is one of my favorite Hymns. LOVE IT!

When I first started out on this long old road, and was fighting not only the sugar demon, but the alcohol and tobacco addictions as well, I heard a song on the radio and instantly fell in love with it. Later I found out it was a pretty old song, but still love it anyway. I have it on my computer and my Ipod...
(Hey a country girl has gotta love country music, right?? :))

If You're Going Through ****
by Rodney Atkins

Well you know those times
When you feel like there's a sign there on your back
Says I don't mind if ya kick me
Seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse
You'd think they can't get worse than that
And then they do

You step off the straight and narrow
And you don't know where you are
Use the needle of your compass
To sew up your broken heart
Ask directions from a genie
In a bottle of Jim Beam
And she lies to you
That's when you learn the truth

If you're going through ****
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Well I been deep down in that darkness
I been down to my last match
Felt a hundred different demons
Breathing fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled
I'd fall right into the trap that they were laying, yeah

But the good news
Is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holding out a hand to pull you back up on your feet
The one's that you've been dragginig for so long
You're on your knees
You might as well be praying
Guess what I'm saying

If your going through ****
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, If you're going through ****
Keep on moving, face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

If you're going through ****
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, If you're going through ****
Keep on moving, face that fire
Walk right through it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah, you might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there.
