Can I return soda to the store?
 

Kind of a weird question, but, I ran to the grocery store today to pick up some more chicken and diet soda.

I've been drinking Diet Coke, and I seen the Diet Coke Lime. Thought it sounded like it would be good, so, I bought a 12 case.

Well, it turns out that I absolutely HATE Diet Coke Lime. I can't stand the taste. I've only opened one can.

Does anyone out there know if I can return the rest to the store for an exchange? I honestly have no idea about grocery store return policies on soda.

Normally I wouldn't think much of it, and just buy a new case of regular Diet Coke, but, my food money is getting low.

I don't know for sure, but I would say no since the case has been opened. Might check with your store.

You can call the store and ask.. some stores may accept it, some may not. If not, look on the packaging, many products have some kind of "satisfaction guarantee" on it, and will offer a refund if you dont like it.

Thanks! Calling the store was my first idea, although it'll have to wait until tomorrow, and the whole "Satisfaction Guarantee" thing is a good idea to check, too!

whenever I see a new soda or some other product that I want to try, I tend to get a smaller container of it first.. if they have it in a 20 oz bottle for example. Granted oz per oz its more expensive.. but if I find that I dont like it, then I wasted only a dollar or two on a small container, than to waste $6 or $7 on a larger amount.

Call Coke. They will send you a coupon for a new 12 pack. This happened to me with the blue Pepsi a few years ago. Then just drop the lime Coke in your office breakroom with a note that says "help yourself".

I second the call Coke, they should send you a voucher. They actually e-mailed mine and I had it while I was still on the phone with them.
