I totally love this thread because I have wondered where some of you got your names! :)

I don't know where mine came from. I always loved the name abby and when in London for my 21st birthday I tried Abbsinthe for the first time. I just kind of combined the 2 back then and have been using it as my online pseudonym ever since.

My real name is Lindsey but shhhhh.. :)

Mine is time2lose because I had decided that it was/is "Time 2 lose" the extra weight. Someday, I plan to change to "time2maintain"!

Usually online my username is either *Angie* or my FirstnameLastname. Here, though, the *s aren't accepted and you all get too much spam for me to feel comfortable putting my full name out there. Making Skinny is the name my husband suggested when I was looking for a catchy name for my weight loss blog, so I decided to use it here, too :)

Fukuoka is both a city and prefecture in Japan.I visited there 2 years ago when my son was living and teaching there, and really loved it. As a matter of fact he just married [New year's Eve] a girl he met while living there. :)

I'm going to continue the Japan theme. My name is translated from my normal handle and came about because on study abroad we would eat a lot of fish with the tiny bones still in and if we got stabbed we would sort of make an excuse of "dangerous fish" while removing a bone from our mouths.

Its my first name. I used it first on a forum that 've been on since 2003 and I've tried to always stick with it.

Part of the reason I am overweight is that my life is TOTALLY sedentary. Bed, get up, toilet (bathroom reader :D). Shower, leave the house, car seat for an hour or more commute. Sit at desk using computer all day. Toilet again (repeat as needed), car seat again back and forth to lunch, chair/booth at lunch, back to desk chair. Car seat home. Couch. Toilet. Bed. Repeat.

To lose this weight, I have got to Move Move Move. Plus, there's a song by Outkast, "I like the way you move" and part of a song by Ludacris "When I move (you move, move, move, move) that I like. Don't know the whole Ludacris song 'cause when he starts to cuss I turn it off.

My name is Vicki. When I was a tyke and learning to talk, I pronounced my name as "Weekee." It sort of stuck (my dad still calls me Weekee). When we got a Wii and I created a little me, I started calling the little mii 'Wiiki". i use the name a lot as log ins for things and she has become my alias, mysticshaz on WOW is tall pretty and very slim (unfair) but when i play her i am more confident and out going, maybe its the REAL me hope that doesnt sound weird lol

actually YEARS ago, I was active in Hillel (the Jewish student organization) at my college. At the time there was a popular Isreali dance called the Chickie Chickie (or soemthing like it). For the life of me I can't remember the dance or the song, but I was good at it, it was fun. It became my FIRST email address and I've used it ever since. 13 is my lucky number (I was born on Friday the 13th).

Well my name is Kerri and my bestest friend from when I was growing up always called me kerbear and then the 879 is for my birthday which is August 8, 1979...guess it's not the most clever of names but I like it :)

Renacer means "to being born again" in Spanish. I felt that changing my lifetstyle was to being born again.

Losermom has nothing to do with losing weight. We call our family the Loser Family because we have done some pretty boneheaded things. Afterwards we laugh at ourselves and call ourselves Losers! The Loser Family and I'm the mom--so Losermom. :)
