I went when I was younger. I am in my 30's now and I can tell you, I would never, ever do it again. My first cousin (age 38) died of skin cancer just two years ago. He was also fair complected.
I don't know how much healthier it is but over the summer I used Oil of Olay Touch of Sun on my skin and LOVED it. Do your research before you decide to age your skin. |
Get spray-tanned. Start subtle, as long as you don't go too dark too fast you won't get orange.
To be frank, it's silly to lose weight and exercise to get healthy and then just go bake in a tanning bed which is one of the riskiest things you can do for your health. Spray tans are safe and more natural looking than ever! |
Don't do the tanning bed! I use to tan when I was younger and myskin is so fair that the bed actually made "bars" on my back from the lighting.

I'm in my 30s and I tanned some in my 20s...usually just in the springtime to get a tint before summer so I wouldn't scorch in the sun. I have VERY fair skin and I even burn with applying SPF50 sunscreen in the sun every hour. But, I have learned to love my fair skin. I really dont mind it at all. I have to be extra careful in the sun but I worry about tanning beds. My vitamin D is low and I take vitamin D3 ordered by my doc. Almost everybody these days has a low level cause we dont get the sun we need to, especially in the wintertime. Also, if you use sunscreen everytime you are outside your level is probably low. A low vitamin D level is not good. So, that lady who told one of you that you need your vitamin D? You can buy it in pill form....get the vitamin D3...sold at Walmart and just about everywhere.......beats a tanning bed. :)

I like the Dove Energy Glow. It took me a while to figure out how to manipulate the lotion around my wrists/ankles to avoid a stark end-line, but its easy now. Plus, it just made me look tan, not streaky-orange. Smelled decent too.
