I have a Palm Centro and have had it for a year. It's a bit old-school-- the last smartphone Palm made with the PalmOS instead of Windows Mobile, but I like it. It's a bit of a throwback to the old Palm Pilots people used to have. It does what I need it to do and keeps me organized. A lot of people complain about its itsy bitsy keyboard, but I have itsy bitsy hands and fingers, so it fits perfectly in my hands. I'm not really sure how I feel about the prospect up upgrading in a year because I love this one. I'm not a huge fan of touchscreen phones without a stylus because I prefer to push buttons. The iPhone freaks me out. I am weird.

I have an iPhone, and I love it! I was sort of afraid I'd hate the touchscreen because I'm a little OCD about fingerprints, but with a good screen cover stays relatively smudge free.

I have an iPhone...love it. I track my calories on the "Lose it" app. So much easier then doing it on my computer. Not so happy with the AT&T service though but I guess you can't have everything. :)

I really want to get an HTC phone. I'm looking at either the Hero or whatever else HTC might release soon. They've been going crazy with new phones, I can't seem to keep up.
Does anyone have an HTC phone? Is it any good? I'm really interested in it because of how customizable the interface is. I hear that you couldn't use a yahoo account for your mail, is that true? DETAILS, please! |
Paramedic, my new phone is an HTC Incredible and so far I really like it! You can set up e-mail with any account, you just have to go into the settings, I have both my gmail and a second address hitting my phone now.
And Motivated... Wow Yes! the battery does suck down with the internet! I think I might invest in a second battery juuust in case. I found an app for the daily plate (not free) and one for spark people (free)... I'm leaning towards the daily plate one, but whichever I end up using I'm really excited about being able to enter my food while I'm out and about. I'm also looking into restaurant calorie counter apps... a quick peek at my phone and I'll be able to make better choices when I'm out. And it has a Kindle reader... more happy toe dancing! |
I've been thinking about changing my plan to a data plan but wasn't sure if I wanted to pay the extra for it. Now after reading all these posts I'm in. Not sure how I've made it this far without. I've heard once you go berry you never go back ;)

I have an iPhone and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It literally has everything I need. I type on other people's phones now and can't do it because the touch screen is the easiest thing to use. There are so many things you could do with the phone, that it could save you alot of money in the long run. (Think having a GPS and not having to pay hundreds for one)

Thanks for the info, JayMar!

I have an iPhone and am in love with it. It's the best thing I've ever bought and if I had to choose one material possession to keep it would be the iPhone.
The funny thing is before I got it, I was kind of "meh" about Apple and was going to get an Android (HTC Desire), but when I looked around the best good smartphone deal I could find was an iPhone so chose that instead thinking I'd not like certain aspects of it but I'm so in love with it, I'd now turn to Apple first in future for my techie desires. :) And no matter what brand, I'd always get a touchscreen phone from now on. |
I love my iPhone! It's only a 3GS, but it works fine (no need to upgrade to the 4G one yet).
What I don't love is AT&T... They've been dropping my calls like crazy, and they are expensive. I was particularly mad when I got prank calls, and they told me they could block this particular number for me, IF I payed $5/month. A-hum. Excuse me? But yeah, other than that, I'm quite happy with my iPhone :) Since I got it, I've started reading the news on my subway commute to and from work... I've never been more informed about current events in my life before :P |
oh, and as far as fitness and food logging apps go, I tried Daily Burn and it worked alright for me :) I also tried iFigure when I did Weight Watchers for tracking points. That was also pretty easy to use :)
