Is Cyberdefender a Good anti-virus program

  • So I'm fairly new on this board, and to computers in general. I've been on lots of diet sites and so far I really like all that I've read on here. I am a little concerned though cause I managed to get a few viruses in the last month, even though I had the norton anti-virus and AVG installed. My brother installed them - I don't really know much about this stuff liek I said before.

So, now that I am looking at anti-virus programs, I see I've got a lot of learning to do about it. I'm pretty sure I want to pay as it seems my experience with free software has not been all that good. I looked at a few and liked Cyberdefender and PC Tools.

I liked that Cyberdefender seems to be a more complete package, covering anti-virus, trojans, and spyware, and id theft protection. PC Tools, also a nice user interface.

I do know Cyberdefender is a NASDAQ public company, but is it a good anti-virus program?

I appreciate anyone's help on this, and the continued motivation to reach my goal.

    Thank you.
  • I'm sorry, I've never heard of Cyberdefender so I can't offer any support there

But here are a few I use, all recommended by the IT guys that work for our company. All work great and are FREE (which is a total bonus):
    Super Antispyware
    Spybot
    Ad-Aware SE Personal
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    Good luck!
