Imho

what does it mean? My 'tech savy' kids don't even know so maybe it is an 'old persons' thing? lol

Heather 09-09-2009 08:11 AM

It means "in my humble opinion."

salsa chip 09-09-2009 08:18 AM

Rats, I thought you were going to come out with an objectionable opinion there! :D

Operator265 09-09-2009 02:05 PM

It can be objectionable if it actually means, "In My Honest Opinion". A lot of people find my opinions "objectionable", but then again, I'm living in UT without being a complete right-winger, so...................:D

Here's the link to The Urban Dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/ to help you out. I use it quite often.

WSChick 09-09-2009 02:59 PM

I thought it was, "in my honest opinion".

Heather 09-09-2009 06:50 PM

ah, I'd heard "humble" years ago. According to the link above, it can be both.

nelie 09-09-2009 06:56 PM

Yeah, I've always heard of it as humble.

Glory87 09-09-2009 07:35 PM

Another vote for "humble" here.

Operator265 09-09-2009 08:17 PM

I wasn't correcting. It goes both ways, except in my case. There's nothing "humble" about me, and certainly not my opinions.

I can vouch for that!

however....for me...it's usually....in my harassing opinion :)

My DH was told at work that the new workplace policy was not to use the term "harass" because it sounded too much like "her A$$" to some people, who lodged a formal complaint against the company...

Thanks! :-)

And, as teenagers are not so 'humble' or even sometimes 'honest' I can see why it would be an "old person's thing!"
