Got a promotion!
The home improvement store I work at is "restructuring" itself right now, the whole corporation is doing this nation-wide. My old job title was team leader, but those are being eliminated in an effort to save money.
It used to be that every department had their regular employees, you know, two or three or whatever. Then each department had a team lead managing them, and the team leads answered to their department manager. A department manager might have 3 to 5 departments under them.
It was decided to eliminate the team lead job, and every department would just have their own department manager. I got the news yesterday that I've been made a department manager. :D
So, I put the diet on hold last night and DH and I went out to celebrate.
