Favorite Florida Beaches?
 

I'm planning our vacation to Florida this summer, and I could use some advice about where the best beach would be.

We're taking my baby sister to Disney World, in Orlando (in case you didn't know), but we have an extra day or so to stop by a beach before we head there. We're coming from Ohio, and would rather go to a beach on the Gulf. Suggestions?

I used to vacation every year on the panhandle west of Panama City, but I haven't been in a long time. Rosemary Beach, Seaside, Destin - that whole area is gorgeous and not as tacky as Panama City. Can be expensive, though, and maybe too far out of your way.

We vacation in Destin almost every year. We're actually heading there in a couple of weeks. It's beautiful and the atmosphere is more family oriented. I live in central Indiana and it's a 12 hour drive. We love it there!

destin is horrible horrible horrible..stay away...lol..this coming form a native who is tried of visiting family and dealing with crazy destin traffic LMAO. I love the destin but don't want the tourist LMAO. What can i say..i'm a greedy witch who wants her beach to herself (:

Totally go to Clearwater Beach.Beautiful.I have taken my kids there many times.Just got back 2 weeks ago.Its about a 2 hour drive from Orlando.

I like Sanibel Island near Ft. Meyers. I also like Seagrove Beach about 45 minutes out of Destin. I agree--don't like Destin.
