Electronics talk
I'm not much of a techie so I'd love to pick the many brains on 3fc, if that's ok with you chicks...
first, I currently own a blackberry and I enjoy the web access and email capabilities but when I get the heck off my tmobile contract I will need a new phone/unit. 1. some emails I do not open b/c they are hard to view on the bb. does iphone have these issues? 2. if I am a pc user (want to switch to mac but get more for the $ with pc) is it silly to get the iphone? 3. I'd love any input on the pc vs. mac debate thanks in advance for any and all insight you can add!!! :):):) |
Hi, don't know answers to any of the first questions, but on the pc vs mac issue, all I can say is we love our Mac. DH uses pc at work, but brings a lot of it home to do and it's easier to do on the mac using Office for Mac software. Not as many games for Mac, but we don't do games for the most part and the kids have their playstation for that;) Not many viruses around that affect Mac either, but there are one or two. Another plus is that they rarely (in our experience) have hardware issues. Our first iMac lasted 10 years with no problems ever until it crashed. Even the people at our Apple store were amazed! My sis and bil are constantly fixing their pc and backing up or trying to retrieve files lost when their pc's crash and he's a Microsoft developer and still can't figure out how to deal with those issues. Hope some of this helps:D

thanks ronni, your input is good. it certainly helps! ;)
also--- does anyone have an internet forum where this kind of stuff is discussed? I know about cnet but I'm looking for personal opinions. |
I love Macs. The only reason I have a PC is because I want to play games. I also only buy laptops but Mac laptops are a bit overpriced.

I can add that if you get an ipod of any kind you can use it with either a PC or a Mac.
To load content like music and movies into it you need to download iTunes which is available for either system. So whether you decide to go for a Mac or stay with PC, you can still use your iPhone. |

I've always had PCs. But my kids are into Macs. My DD has a Macbook and my son wants one plus he wants an iPhone. He has the iPod touch and loves it. We all have different varieties of iPods. My next computer will be a Mac. I've already decided--I just love my daughter's Mac. My son brings home a Mac from school every day (his robotics class allows the top students to do this to work on programs at home).
