diet and bad skin

Anyone experience breaking out severly when dieting? It's almost like a no-win situation. When I start feeling like I can stick to my diet and excercise, my skin starts to break out! When my skin starts to clear up, the pounds start packing up! Recently, I think it's because I've been taking Reductil to assist in my 'diet'. This could be a factor to me breaking out - I have found a skin care regime using AVENE though. At first I thought about using ProActiv but I remember some years ago I used it and it stopped working after 3 months or so. Anyway, I've started with AVENE and it's actually worked wonders. Even my sister - after 2-3 days of me using these products, noticed a shine in my face (and not the oily shine kind!). Juts thought I would share this with you if any of you have had similar problems!

..downside - I started using this new skin care brand this weekend - also the weekend I sort of binged and didn't record down what I ate etc..etc... :-(

goldlion, I had problematic skin too when I first began..in fact, I would say the first 20-30 pounds my skin was a mess..keep on your program and really, really drink the water...also, I run most mornings...I started cleaning my face BEFORE and AFTER my run..I am cheap and just use Sea Breeze for this..otherwise, I use Merle Norman skin care...good luck....and don't forget your water! :)

WARNING KINDA GROSS!

I get this sometimes but I think my issues come from working out and not IMMEDIATELY going and washing my face or taking a shower after. I think the dried sweat is clogging my pores or something because if I go wash my face before the sweat even dries it really seems to help.

I agree that my skin issues have arisen from my working out. I can tell because the breakouts are confined to certain areas. I really need my forehead not just exfoliated but abraded away. But that's because my hair is a difficult length, too short to pin up or pull back, and it gets sweaty & then gets plastered to my forehead, and that's where I break out -- where my hair is touching my forehead.

My skin got worse at first and then got a lot better.

The best way to keep your skin healthy is proper nourishment. I wouldn't spend money on something like proactive when you can control it with a simple acne wash, moisturizer, and eating well.
