Two different types of trees. Coconuts grow on coconut trees and palm trees have dates as their fruit. Coconuts grown on islands in the tropics and palm trees can be found in arid deserts.
I know because I am from a tropical country where we have tons of Coconut trees, and I love to drink the coconut water from the fresh fruit.
