Cockatiel Pictures :)

I went ahead and made a website on my birdies :)

http://babytiels.webs.com/index.htm
There's some info on owning a bird, The Cockatiel bios and a page for the babies :)

Let me know what you think. I'm far from finished, but it's still a start.

Oooooo!! I love the "Snuggle" picture!

tamaralynn 01-02-2009 10:24 PM

He nibbles on my hair and chin when he snuggles, it's quite sweet. I know he'll be very tame when he gets older.

My pup does the same thing. I hope he grows out of it or I'm gonna wind up with about 20 ear piercings and wind up bald.:yikes:

No offense to the poster, but carefully consider how much you like having bird poop everywhere before getting a bird.

How sweet your birds are! I love the pictures of the "babies."

tamaralynn 01-05-2009 07:58 AM

nil - I've owned birds for years. This is a baby to one of my pairs. Check out my bird website, and you'll see all of my birdies and the baby pics. Noel is one that I had to assist hatch.

Trust me, I know about poop and seed messes, and cage messes... I vaccuum about 3 - 6 times day. The bedding is changed every week, or more if needed. :)

The pictures are great (and I love all your information about birds on your site). I can't wait for photos that show the babies as they grow out of their "chia pet" stage!!!

Very cute - and, awesome website!

We used to have cockatiels (6 all together) a while back. They really are great pets to have and have such a sociable personality.

Any animal will poop all over your house if it isn't or can't be potty trained. That's why you don't allow untrained or untrainable critters full run of the house when you're not there to pick up after them.

The worst case of indiscriminate animal pooping I've ever seen was in an apartment where the poop was produced by three minitature poodles. We had no idea that our neighbors weren't picking up after their poodles until they moved out. The landlord had to rip out all of the carpeting, and the couple didn't take any of their furniture with them, so we saw it's condition by the dumpster - the recliners (expensive lazy boys) were covered in poodle crap - not just spots, but most of the surface covered in crusty poodle crap and stunk so strongly of urine you could smell it three or four yards away (it's as far away as I could get and still get to the dumpster to throw out our trash).

Someone needs to knit that naked baby a little sweater!

kaplods 01-05-2009 10:33 PM

A pretty parrot poncho perhaps?

tamaralynn 01-05-2009 11:05 PM

Hehehe :D He is growing his feathers in everywhere, so the poor guy is a little uncomfortable. I have one of my t-shirts in his cage to snuggle with at night. He LOVES it :)

Okay t-shirt is quite messy... LOL gotta take it out

In the meantime here is mommy feeding Noel
