random gift idea ?
 

Hi all,

I'm going shopping Saturday, and one of the gifts I need to buy is for my friend who lives in China (granted, she won't get it before Christmas). I know some of the things she misses, but I still want to get her some surprise items that she can't get in China. She misses things like mac and cheese, orbit chewing gum, and a few other foods. But does anyone else have any other ideas that you would want if you lived in a faraway country and were homesick? I don't want the total package to be too heavy because it's very expensive to ship to China.

Maybe a magazine that she can't get there?

Gosh, there's so much I would miss. I guess I don't know what you can't get in China that you can get here though. I second the magazine thing.
