Knucklehead's In The Navy!
 

Some of you know that I raised my "knucklehead" nephew. Well today was a big day for him :)

He graduated Basic Training for the United States Navy!

I am so proud of him!

But a little story which explains why I call him "knucklehead"....

My daughter and her :p husband :p "the kidnapper" flew to Great Lakes Illinois yesterday from San Diego, California to see him graduate. They called me this morning said they were in front row seats for his division....2 hours early....my daughter is like me...never-ever be late!

A few hours later knucklehead calls and says that the graduation is over and they are all leaving the base to go party in town. I asked him how the ceremony went...he tells me..

"OK for what I was there for"

"What?"

"Well Uncle Gary I had to go poop...we had a pizza party last night and it didn't sit well with me, I was escorted out and had to watch from the bathroom while Amanda and Zac sat up front waiting for me to come back."

Now this is not the first time knucklehead has been going poop when important stuff was going on.

The biggest day of his life and he is in the crapper!

That's why I call him knucklehead!

Nevertheless - congrats - great job raising him and thank him for serving our country :)

He's in weapons Scooter....I'm worried.

lol- He sounds like my DH, although thankfully, he's a Yeoman!

My husband is in weapons in the Navy as well. In fact, he's in charge of millions of dollars worth of mechanized death.
And yet he hasn't mastered the self-checkout at the supermarket.
Could this be why I don't sleep....?

I figured after two weeks of NAVY training they would put him in the ARMY.

I hope they don't end up working as a TEAM! ;)

WOOHOO!!!!! Welcome to the Navy life..LOL!!! Hope he doesnt get stationed on the Stennis. LoL!! J/k

I hope he will be safe. I can understand your worry. Maybe we'll get to bring 'em home sometime soon.
