Something no one here knows about me...well, most everything since I don't post here a lot. But one, I have always wanted to write a novel. And another...I am going to be a great-grandma in April.

Gay guys attract to me like glue. Always been that way. No idea why.

Oooo, you people are mean!!! I tell you my deepest, darkest secret...about Anderson Cooper...and you tell me he's GAY! OK, so I already figured he was gay because he never gets linked to anyone by the media, male or female, but still...I think he's hot. Hot, gay man...so sue me.
OK, so since my LAST secret ended up a big dud, here is my next one: I am the daughter of a retired US diplomat, and when I was fifteen I was staying at a resort in the Cloud Mountains of Nicaragua and I got shot at, with a machine gun spraying tracer bullets, while playing hide and seek in the rain forest with some friends from school. We never found out if it was the Contras or the Sandanistas who shot at us, but we had to crawl back to the hotel on our stomachs, while glowing red bullets ripped the palm leaves above our heads to shreds.
So that is probably a better secret than Anderson Cooper anyway...although technically, I'm not sure it should actually count, because my husband knows about it and so do my family.

when i was about 4 years old and learning to bathe on my own, my parents left me in the bath for a moment. i decided to shampoo my hair.... with the shampoo in the pretty pink bottle! unfortunately for me, i had not yet learned to read, nor did i have any understanding what NAIR would do if you shampoo'd with it........ my mom smelled it from the other room and came running in. she rinsed and combed and rinsed and combed over and over and over.... i lost hair in chunks but thankfully it all grew back!!!!!!!!
lets see... what else...
i feel more at home sitting in my parked car alone than at home itself. i have a pillow and blanket in the car and frequently will take whatever book i'm reading and change into my PJs and drive to a deserted place to sit in my car and read. my favorite is parking lots by the beach late at night.
i used to teach lap dancing classes. yep, formal workshops with folding chairs and all. private lessons and group lessons. i actually was quite successful with it!
oh! and nobody but my boyfriend knows i got my bum tattooed!!!! it looks like a stamp! it says "made in the usa. limited edition. copyright 1983. satifaction guaranteed."

I love reading all about people- and their stories. I'm big into the whole "everyone has their story to tell" thing.

Sorry for the obnoxious triple post but I have another thing: I have a vertical scar on the right side of my forehead from when I tripped, fell, and hit the corner of two walls when I was 4 years old.

luvja - I am pretty sure that the first boy I ever was more than friends with turned out to be gay, too ! I was in 8th-9th grade and he had all the signs, but I knew nothing about that back then. He had highlights, was into theatre, did tap dancing and ballet, had "limp wrist syndrome", had vocal intonations when he spoke, loved watching chick flicks, all his friends were girls, never, ever had a girlfriend, said he could never tell if a girl was hot lookin' but was always able to instantly point out when a guy was hot, was a mama's boy (the kind who baked muffins with his mama and dragged her to our first date ), was obesssed with his weight and overall physical appearance... oh, the list goes on and on and on! I would be VERY surprised if he was sincerely straight. I have no idea what happened to him, but I sure hope he came out of the closet!
Schumeany - WOW! That bullet story is AMAZING!!
mazza - does anyone ever make Harry Potter remarks about your scar?
I have more secrets. Perhaps some of these are juicy:
I can't dance. I have no rhythm. BUT I secretly wish I could MOVE like no other.
I have done modeling in the past and I think I look better in pictures than I do in real life.
I'd love to be considered sexy but fear that I am only sexy until I open my mouth - then, the sexy quickly morphs into "dorky cute" because I am animated like a cartoon character and too "funny" to be truly sexy
I am a dirty old man magnet and I have no idea why.
I want to break up with my girlfriend, but I feel obligated to stay until she finishes school. I'm terrified of hurting her, but I know she ultimately is not right for me. And when I'm drunk, I flirt with other people. I'm also more straight than I am gay - sometimes marginally so, sometimes by a landslide (yup - can't make up my mind and don't care to! "pick one" is SO overrated!)
I don't like going number two in public restrooms. I'm afraid of stinkin' up the joint and not being courteous of others. I'm also afraid of *plop plop plop* and walking out of the stall and seeing someone just standing there waiting to use it. AND I don't want anyone associating POOP with ME I used to hate having strangers hearing me pee, but I got over that because sometimes I need to pee seriously every 15 minutes and/or for really long periods of time.

I pace when I talk on the phone, and you can tell how comfortable I am with the person on the other end by how quickly I'm moving. If it's my mom or dad, I'll wander leisurely; if it's someone I don't really know, I'll practically sprint laps around the living room... and everyone else falls somewhere in between. My husband hates it and tries to make me sit while I talk, so I end up making most of my phone calls in the bedroom with the door closed.
Another fact you didn't know: I edited this post because there wasn't enough variety in my punctuation.

I am very OCD about grammar sometimes.
I am also very OCD about parking. Before turning the car off, I always check to make sure I am parked perfectly between the lines.
I'm a really careful driver in general because I ride my bike almost everywhere. Therefore, I am super aware of my surroundings in a vehicle.

I'll share... I HAVE to have matching underwear and bra's on... if they don't match, I feel uneasy about it, and will eventually change them to match.
