Cholesterol levels

I know its not as meaningful because I don't have my previous cholesterol levels. I believe I had an HDL of 40 last year and a total cholesterol level around 160. I got my test results back and I'm pretty happy:

Cholesterol level - 113
HDL - 44 (need to increase this, more exercise!)
LDL - 57 (no clue what this was in previous years)
Triglyceride - 60 (again, no clue what this was in previous years)

I was actually hoping for an overall cholesterol level below 100 but it didn't happen. Maybe next year :)

Good for you, nelie!

But I'm curious--on my lab work, the "normal" range for cholesterol is listed as 140-200. So why would you want to get below 100?

Just because I heard healthy vegans can go below 100.
