I love a man who won't give me the time of day. He asked me if I was married and I said I was married to God. He showed interest then but ignores me now. Is there any hope

Sorry I have to agree, why did you say you were married to God? BTW, I mean no offense by this question, I just think that he or anyone else may think that you're not interested if given that reply.

Why do you think he wont give you the time of day? He did ask you if you were married didn't he? Most people don't ask that question unless they are interested.

Gotta agree. That response implies you're either a nun or have taken a celibacy for life oath, neither of which is bad, but not helpful if your looking for a relationship.

I was joking when I said I was married to God. At the time I wasn't interested in being in a relationship with anyone.

Did he laugh after you said it? Maybe he didn't know you were joking.

Invite him out for lunch, casual but he'll get the hint that you're interested.

Are you really interested in this guy??? Maybe tell him what you told us, that you were only kidding at that particular time, but maybe you're ready now. If he doesn't seem interested then move along to some who is...plenty of fish in the sea!

That's good! Now these are just my suggestions, and I'm definetly no expert but....I'd make it a point to speak to him directly as a friend. Maybe even mention that you're reply to his question about being married was a joke as you stated. If you can reopen that communication take the time to get to know him and see what happens. If he still doesn't bite then don't lose any sleep over it. You seem like a very nice person, and I do believe there is someone out there for everyone.

My first question would be why are you interested in him? If he won't give yo the time of day I'm guessing you don't know that much about him?

Ok, I was just curious because if someone said they were married to god, I'd think they are a nun or something similar.

I would also be concerned about someone who said they were married to God because I would not want to be in a relationship with someone that religious. I am not a religious person (although I do have my own spiritual beliefs, which is a different thread! :) ) and would be very uncomfortable around someone who made comments like that as a matter of fact.

Yeah...if I asked someone that, I would also assume that they were a nun. (Some nuns do not wear habits, obviously.)

Or...I would think that they were a bit *off* and then run like heck in the other direction. :lol:
