I just wanna thrown it on here to see what you gals think about it.
In her TV show on Oxygen, Janice Dickinson refers to a plus size model as a Whale.
I don’t watch the show, I just saw pieces of it during its commercial and at first he says: What? when asked about a plus size model, like it would be an absurd for her to get involved with it. And then she says something like this: “I can’t deal with whales”.:fr:
How do you guys see it?

I see it as an unfortunate snapshot of American views toward larger woman. Never cared much for Janice Dickinson anyway. I can't deal with anorexic narsacists!

And I mean that in the same spirit that she meant her comment...so don't jump on me...

I think its sad that she views plus size models as Whales. Then again...coming from her... i guess its not a shocker. She's always been a bit on the mean side. I never liked her on America's Next Top Model and was glad when they got someone new. Its sad to think that she has that view of plus size people. Its sad that more people can't be tolerant about everything.

I think Janice Dickinson is an underfed waif with a very big mouth (literally) who is desperately trying to maintain her C-List celebrity status by attempting to be sensational (but fails) so I just don't take her that seriously.

But that's just me.

Way to put it djay! I didn't see that episode, but I can't stand Janice Dickinson and think she is very rude. I'm sure that's what she meant. We all know that plus size models (the size 8-10's that they are--I wish!) are the most beautiful! I watched the season of America's Next Top Model when the plus size girl won and she has been the most beautiful of all the other winners.

Yep, most "plus sized" models are between a size 8 and a size 14. Sizes that many of us here are trying to attain or maintain. Not to mention that they are usually tall (as are most models) so those sizes are actually healthy for women 5'8" and taller.

I honestly think she needs to meet pot, kettle and black. Don't believe me - she has more cellulite in her legs than I do. Check TMZ. I think she is one of the most heinous creatures ever to walk the earth. Like, I have said a million times before - I can lose the weight - but you can't cure ugly.

It's sad that she has that opinion, and a television show on which to air it. But she is also all about shock value, so no response is all she deserves, and the last thing she wants.

You'd think she'd have been able to afford a better plastic surgeon - or did she actually want to look like that?

What I can't believe is that she still has a show on TV at all.

It makes me wonder if the average television viewer watches her show and agrees with her. And then i think that is the reason we have other shows- about anorexic 9 year olds. :C

Not sure who she is but, here's to karma catching up to her and making her end up three times bigger than those 'whales' she's dissing...(in this life so we can all watch her try out for the next Jenny Craig celeb :lol:)

My nieces love her show. They are 14 and 18. One was aspring to be a model the other wants to be a playboy bunny. :(

Ms. Dickinson is a total nut job narcissists who hates herself so much she'll go to great lengths to be on television even for a moment. She's disgusting in so many ways I can't even list them. I wouldn't worry about any ignorant statement that comes out of her mouth. I'm almost certain the woman is a drunk or a drug addict anyway. She may not even know what she's saying half the time.
