Hm. This is a toughie for me because to me "giving up" indicates that you're sacrifice something you want ... and as I mentioned in the other thread I haven't really *given up* anything I've wanted - I just have to work harder to fit some of them into my calorie plan.
OTOH, there are things I've happily kicked to the curb because they're bad for me and I don't miss them at all:
1 - HFCS - I never really thought about how bad it was for me until I started eating healthy. It's hard sometimes to find things w/out, but I work really hard to make sure I eat as little of it as is humanly possible.
2 - Processed foods - I don't think I'll ever entirely give up processed foods because the convenience factor of some thing is just too high, but as with the above - I eat as little processed food as I possibly can.
3 - Large Portions - as a general concept I have entirely 100% given up ordering or buying a "large" of anything. When we go out to eat I order a small or even a kids size if I can. I'll ask for an appetizer size or a 1/2 an entree at restaurants. If I'm really really craving something, I'll buy the smallest size snack bag or candy bar I can, vs. how I used to buy a King Sized Snickers, for example.
