My cat Charcoal doesn't live with me (lives with my parents) but my nicknames for him are Charky and Pookums. I don't know where I came up with Pookums, but I did. He responds to both of his nicknames.

I have a chinchilla. His name is Albus, but I generally call him "buddy". And then I have to talk to him in that voice that people use to talk to animals for whatever reason, like, "Hey buddy, who's my favorite chinchilla?"
