Julia Hood: Hey we cant act childish in front of our kids. We can let off some silly steam here!

But it's ok to act childish in front of other people's kids, right?

We visited my family in IL in July, and I was telling my 3 year old nephew, Jayden that Uncle David (my husband) watches some of the same cartoons that Jayden likes (Sponge Bob, Chowder, The Fairly Odd Parents...) and Jayden
looked at me wide-eyed and astonished, "but he's not even little!"

I completely agree. I do silly things in front of my neices/nephews. But not when my kids can see. And my siblings & spouses do the same back. Man they teach my kids some naughty stuff. But thats ok. I do the same for their kids.

I've taught my kids all my bad habits. I'm really good at embarrassing them in public too. And I've scared the living heck out of more than one boyfriend. One of them even told me and my oldest, "Well, yeah, your dad is really big, but it's your mom that I'm afraid of." YYYes!!!!!!!

Wild, crazy thought...
Does anyone want to post links to their favorite threads that have "died" in order to follow up on them? You know, stir up interest in them so more people can post in them. I have to admit, there are some neat threads that I'd like to see how the OP did...
Mods, is that ok? I didn't kno wif that was ok or not, so I did not link one...

JuliaDH 08-31-2008 10:05 PM

Operator - That is cool! I hope to have that effect. DH is to cute & babyfaced to do the scaring job. My mom and dad were equals in that department. Dad looks like he belongs to a mafia...mom use to run around with a 22 killing the ground hogs in the garden. Several bf got scared off by them.

OK folks. I just did a "Threadkill" count. I've been a member since the end of March, with 725 posts(726 in a minute here), and on General Chatter alone I count 19 Threads that have died at my hands. So........

BRING IT ON GIRLIES!!!!!!!

and you too, EZ!!!!! And no, wearing you wife's silk panties does not qualify you as a girl.

Primm 08-31-2008 11:40 PM

Whoa! Ok, you win...
