You So. Cal. posters OK?

Heard the earth moved for you today.

Hope all are safe.

No major injuries or structural damage was the last I heard, so I hope the reports are true and all are safe.

All of my Southern CA family and friends appear to be accounted for.

I wondering the same... Hope all of you are OK...

All ok here. :wave:Thanks for the concern! A few pictures fell that is all. It was quite a long one.

On the other hand, I sell insurance and within minutes of it happening I had calls for earthquake insurance......as always. Silly clients... you can't buy earthquake insurance after an earthquake. HA HA HA. That is like buying fire insurance after your home has burned. I know it is not funny, but they should have taken my advise sooner. :D

Definitely felt it here in San Diego - a pretty good rolly-shake, lasted for about 10 seconds. Books shook on the shelves, pictures swayed on the walls, nothing broken or damaged.

Down here a little north of San Diego and I didn't feel anything. I was in the back of my truck washing out the bed, Angie and my nephew came running out though asking if I felt it, then the mail lady pulled up a few minutes later saying she felt it down the street. Guess I have real good suspension!

Sure hope everyone is all OK!!

I was praying that no one would be hurt or have much damage, but our news said most buildings held up well and no major injuries. Glad you are all ok!:)

Yes, the earthed moved for us today  but my DH told me there was an earthquake. :dizzy:

Anyway, all is well with us. We felt the shake and roll but didn't have any damage. Everyone was home at the time except for my daughter. We were actually getting ready to pick her up from summer school.

I checked up on all my family and friends and they're fine. Only one of my friends in Lakewood lost a couple of lamps, glasses, dishes, etc.

Hope everyone else is okay. All the Cali people please check in.

I was sleeping when it hit (I work nights). Having lived through the Northridge quake, and many others, I just stayed in bed and rode it out.

I had the usual dread/anticipation of waiting to see if it gets worse before it stopped. Thankfully it didn't. I only had a small shoebox in my garage fall over, and that was it. :)

After that I went back to sleep.

P.S. GOOD TO SEE YOU MARE! How have you been?

We had a few pictures fall off of the wall, but that was about it. My aunt from Missouri was visiting when it happened, and she thought that the washer that she'd just put towels in was overfilled and unbalanced. She said "MAN, that dryer is loud!" then the second tremor hit. She was scared out of her mind!

Hahaha, poor Missouri girl, thinking a five-point-something earthquake is a load of unbalanced towels...

:D
