Angie Drops The Y~bomb!
OK, here is the deal-E-o ~
My wife and I went to a nice :jeno: Italian restaurant Tuesday evening to celebrate my year of better choices. We were having a nice evening, smelling the ocean air and enjoying the :sunny:sun setting when she raised her wine glass to toast  and tell me how proud she was of me. I was on :cloud9: Then she goes on to say how much she  loves  me and how :thanks: thankful :thanks: she is that I am willing to pay for her training to become a :yoga: yoga instructor :yoga: She has been training for this all week. She will have about 54 hours in this week and she is only about a fourth of the way there. I tell her "no problem" babe  You have been doing :yoga: for years and it has really paid off on  date night  And although it is a bit pricy, I am so  proud of you for giving up a lot of your :sunny: summer vacation to do this. I am proud of you for working the desk a few hours a week too so you can get free yoga lessons. And I am so blessed, as your  husband  that you are taking the training so you can teach it as a ministry at  church  Then she throws the :bomb: Y-BOMB :bomb:......" Babe, I have something to ask you..." "Honey  will you be my first student?" ME?...in a :yoga: yoga outfit....:lol3::rofl::lol::lol::rofl::lol3: wouldn't that be hysterical?! |
:)
My DIL just got her yoga instructor certification and is teaching a community class at the Yoga Studio. I consider it an HONOR to attend her class. (and I am gonna have to travel 2385.45 miles to do it!) Gary - Dan (DH) loves yoga,as does my son. You will make a WONDERFUL yoga student! Not to mention that Rodney Yee is "hot". He looks GREAT in his yoga clothes ;) So - you CAN do this! And - of course WE WANT PICTURES!!!!! |

Angie here-
First of all, I NEVER said he had to wear a "yoga outfit". I'd be happy just to get him there. I have been singing the praises of yoga for years and pointed out that it would only do him good. I won't be done with training until November. So you'll have to wait for the YOGA pictures!!!:drool: |
DH has been doing yoga dvds with me this summer - very reluctantly at first, but now he loves it and can do several poses better than I can. And, Gary, he looks SO HOT doing it!!!!
|
EZ, that's awesome! Congrats to your wife. I'm thinking a lime green spandex bodysuit would be a tasteful choice. Maybe with racing stripes down the legs? ;)
|
good for Angie! you guys really have a lot to celebrate :) |
Gary I'm off to google yoga outfits for men. Just to get a visual ;)
|
:tape: Not saying a word... :D
Clydegirl... Where are you with those sites... LOL |
Found one of my twin brother ~ Richard...;)
|
My dad used to do Yoga in his 60s, go for it EZ, and you don't need a Yoga outfit... although I'd love to see you in that outfit :lol3:
|
Go for it Gary! My DH does yoga a couple times a week - says it does wonders for his back. He used to be the only guy there, but now there are several most nights. And he just wears loose fitting pants and a t-shirt!

Gary, wouldn't you want to be the talk of the forums, all of us drooling over your pictures in a nice yoga outfit? Mind you, yoga is not for women only. Look at it this way - you told Angie her yoga has really paid off on date nights - isn't Angie entitled to the same???? Come on, you can do it!!! (Angie please make sure you post the pictures. Gary doesn't have to know). |
Go for it Gary and don't listen to those who say you don't have to wear a yoga outfit. Of course you MUST wear the outfit. Don't you want the total yoga experience?????
How dare you deny our right to free entertainment!!!! You have to think of what WE need! |
Angie - that's freaking awesome!! I'd love to one day be at a place where I could become an instructor!
EZ - I do yoga in my baggy clothes, no need for spandax. the important thing is that you do it 1 - to support Angie and 2 - for your own mental and physical health! |

I knew nothing about it except a vague recollection of a girl in high school doing something yoga related for a talent show and she wore this pale violet leotard type thing w/a flowing sheer shirt. Boy, was I wrong. I've tried yoga and am completely amazed at how great it is and makes me feel and I only do beginner stuff at this point. Go for it. But, ah, sorry -- a pale violet leotard w/a sheer flowing skirt is MANADATORY for guys. Really, those are the rules. Oh, and posting pics is also mandatory for guys named Gary. It's in the 'yoga for guys' handbook. :D Angie -- way to go!! What an accomplishment for you! |
