What movie do you watch over and over?

  • I have two movies that I own and I watch every time they're on t.v. "You've got Mail" and "Ocean's 11". I'm watching Ocean's 11 right now (on TBS). It doesn't matter if I catch it at the beginning or halfway through. I have to watch them. I know the lines of both movies by heart.

What's the movie you watch every time it's t.v.?
  • Sister Act and Sister Act 2.
  • The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
  • The Sound of Music
    The Harry Potter movies
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    Grosse Pointe Blank
    The American President
And, I hate to admit it, but I love Pretty Woman and I would totally watch it every time it is on TV if my SO would let me.

Also, I have the DVD for the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice and I watch that movie over and over too. And despite the fact that I have the DVD and can watch it any time I want, I will also watch it if they show it on TV.
  • What a great thread!

    My top five are:

    The Painted Veil
    Sense and Sensibility
    The Piano
    Quiz Show
    The Last Unicorn
  • The Game
Matchstick Men.... This is a GREAT flick

    The Thornbirds
    Rebel Without a Cause

(although I don't subscribe to cable so I don't get to watch these on tv, I do rent them or own some of them!)
  • Hm... off the top of my head...

    Smoke
    The Quiet American
    Matrix (first one only)
    Alien
    Fight Club
    Lost in Translation
    Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
    High Fidelity
    Ghostbusters
    Classic Star Wars

  • I always watch Sound of Music too, I'll watch the Molly Ringwold bratpack (Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club) movies every time they are on too (even though they were a little bit before my time), today I watched The Brady movie sequel, I always watch those; the Adams Family. I always watch Men in Black too if it's on. It's kind of weird, because I'm not a huge fan of any of these movies, but I still watch them anyway. I would never buy any of them. I guess it's some sort of phenomenon? Or is it just me who watch movies they feel luke-warm about?
  • I don't rewatch movies very often, but 2 I will watch again are:

    Groundhog Day
    Billy Elliot
  • I just watched Groundhog day last weekend. I forgot how funny it is!

mandalinn82-Sister Act 1 used to be my "gotta watch" movie! Haven't seen it in years!

HarpoChicoGroucho-I'll watch MIB too, but wouldn't buy it. My husband's movie is Shawshank Redemption. I bought it for him, but he's never watched the dvd. Only if it's on t.v. It is a weird phenomenon.
