Army wife here of nearly 5 years (will be this June)
Stationed in Fort Hood Tx

Marines wife of 3 years here.

Hubs retired last year after 26 years in the Air Force.

There's a military spouses thread in the support groups.

I was a Navy and Marine turned Army wife, my sisters all married marines and my nephew just joined the marines.

I'm an Army wife, for over 6 years now. We're in VA, at Fort Useless... I mean Eustis!!!

Proud Mom of a U.S. NAVY sailor here! My daughter is a Master At Arms, stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. She just picked her orders and is hoping to go to Rota, Spain next.

Proud daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter (it goes on and on :lol:) of a Vet (Mama, grandfather, etc were all Army). I have many military cousins, only 1 (out of like 20!) is Navy, everyone else is good ol' Army!

My stepson is a Corporal in the Marines....he's headed back to Iraq this summer.

Erica is still waiting for her orders too.:( She's been waiting for only 2 weeks now, but she has her heart set on Spain, so we are all praying for her. Plus, I wouldn't KILL me to take a little Mom and daughter time on the beach in Spain!:beach:

Where do you want to go? I, too have heard that Rota, Spain is a great base. Where have you been so far? My daughter is determined to go everywhere!:dizzy: At 19 the world is pretty much her oyster and she is going for it! Can you tell I'm a little proud of her? :) Let me know when you find out where you're going.

We've been waiting for 4 months :( We were hoping for someplace overseas (Italy, Japan, Spain or Hawaii)..but then we realized that we couldnt bring all 3 of our cats with us if we did move overseas. So now we're just hoping for San Diego. SD is close to Arizona, which is where we're from. But more than likely, we'll end up in Virgina, because they have so many openings there for dh's rate. Hawaii is still our on the list though, lol.


Dh was stationed in San Diego..but then the ship was dry docked here a couple weeks after we were married. So this was my first duty station. We've been here for 3 years.


You do sound like a proud mama :) Has your daughter been to any cool ports?? Is she having a good time in the Navy? How long has she been in?

Proud Army Momma...he's stationed in Honolulu, HI right now. Was in Iraq for 15 months and most likely is heading back this October, ugh! He will know for sure in June.

I'm a Navy wife myself. Actually my husband is with his other girlfriend right now - the boat. We're stationed here in Kingsbay, GA.
