A Myspace Question?
Is there a way you can set your photo's so that they can not be copied? Like right clicking and saving? I'm not even sure there is, but was curious about that. Thanks All! :)

Yes..go to settings..then to privacy. And there should be a box that says "Allow my photos to be shared/emailed" and uncheck it.
Hmmm..actually, I'm not too sure about the right click save thing. So maybe I wasnt any help at all..lol..sorry. |
On your home page, go to <Settings>, then click on the <Privacy> tab. There is a box that says "Allow my photos to be shared/emailed. Make sure the box is not selected. This affects all your photos, so you can't pick and choose. The right click and save thing only affects your computer.

Ya pretty much. I have that whole thing unchecked and my friend added my pics to her myspace. (but it was okay, because she asked first.) I didnt realize it until just now.

There is a code you have to use so that people can't right click, I am unable to post a link in here so I will just give you the site without the link.
abrax.us/bbz/RightClick.htm Hope this helps you!! I love myspace!:dizzy: |

so you have to use that code for every picture you have?
|
Thanks for all the info ladies...even though I didn't ask, lol. I wondered the same because someone took some of my pictures so I made the albums private so no one can see them...wasn't sure if I just wanted to delete them yet. So thanks for the info.

I would assume the about me, that is where most "extra" codes go. And no, I would think that posting this once would make all pics unable to be right clicked.

Ummm...I just read this..
*notes: a) this will only work for externally hosted images that you place into your main profile page... it will NOT work for images on your pics page(s)... it will not work for your default image, your friends images, or images in your comments... b) users that know how to read html can view the source code for your page and get the urls of your images... c) NOTHING can stop people from taking screenshots of stuff you post on your profile... d) you will have to use this method for EACH image that you want to *protect*... there is no way to apply it to all images at once... |

Even if people can't right click, they can easily use the print screen function and grab it that way.
Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way to prevent people from taking your pictures. There are ways to get around everything. |
