I'm a 2. I just rinse them out. Use a scrubber on stuck on stuff, put them in with a bit of grime or some suds from the scrub brush still on there, and turn it on.

You need a category for my grandpa though. He soaks them in bleach, washes them, then puts them in the diswhasher.

2 & 6...I rinse everything but scrub some others. Also, there are certain things I don't wash in the dishwasher.

Yep, #2 for me too. I don't use enough dishes to fill the dishwasher every night so I have to rinse them or they don't come out so well with my old dishwasher.

BTW, I have a middle ground in there somewhere. I have a dishwasher, yet still hate doing dishes, so we use paper plates for most things. ;)
