I'm getting very nervous, the sox have been on a bad stretch for a while now.

FitinTime ~ CRAZYNETTE~Those Brewers do look good this year. I enjoy seeing Tony Gywn Jr. playing. He is from our area, my son played basketball ,in high school against him for 3 years. His dad would come to some of the games, Tony and I sat by each other a few times :carrot: Garry Temptleton's son played for the same school as Tony Jr., he would come to some games too.

Well we ended up with 9 runs and 19 hits...and LOST!

Those pesky padres get 1 run and 3 hits and WIN!

Do you know what they call that?

Well I'm definately not going to watch the Dbacks, they're on too early today. I do like the Cubs as well, so it doesn't matter to me who wins today.
I heard that Mark Cuban was applying to buy the Cubs. Maybe if he did, they would finally win a championship.
Actually, I start to watch the Dbacks play for a little then go do something else or change the channel. haha!
Since the Cubs lost Sosa, it's not the same, him and his cork filled bats. Yeah, memories!

Things just get worse for the Cardinals.

Chris Carpenter will have Tommy John surgery next week and is out for the rest of this season and most of next year :(

So far the Rockies have split with the Nationals. I can't complain about the Rockies too much, but sometimes they just can't close the deal. I was worried last night in the bottom of the 9th and they were ahead by 2. I'm glad they held the Nationals off and won. One more in this series and then they head back home.

Dang! those ROCKIES are closing fast...thank goodness those pesky padres and D-BACKS lost last night too :carrot:

Oh by the way DIANA I think it be be a great thing if Cuban bought the Cubs ~ The guy is way out there and of course a jock strap rider ...but still...although a PITA at times...fun!

DIANE ~ My son and his friend hav a big volleyball tournament today...not beach...just 2 man a a big park near the beach. We are hoping to make a game or two.

My husband would tell me stories about going to see the Cubs when he was young, his parents would drive from Freeport, Ill to see the Cubs game. They would pack their cooler with drinks and food and head on out. They were and still are big fans.

EZ: That sounds like a good time... the volleyball games. I love to play even though I'm not as tall as I need to be! They have a small league here that runs through the summer. Fun stuff. (BTW, I like how you change font color to match the team color. So creative! I'd do it too, but it seems to involve a lot of thinking... not sure I'm up for that.)

Hey! The Diamond Backs finally won!

Just got home from the volleyball. Son and his partner came in second place, they won the beach towels.

They tied for second during pool play, won the tie breaker game then lost 25-14 in the final...not too close.

My daughter in law took some real cool pictures with her camera, I will see if she can e-mail me them and I will post them.

My DODGERS are on the game of the week and winning right now 8-4 in the 7th...looks good...but with our bullpen now...well, I don't wanna talk about it...

DIANE if it took too many "smarts" to do something on the computer...well, I couldn't do it!

Well I'm feeling slightly better, we took 2 from the White Sox, but those Yanks took 2 yesterday in a double header.

We are still up 7.5 games, I do prefer the lead to be in double digits :)

I'm curious to see what happens with all the trading talk.

I haven't watched any baseball this weekend, (been reading Harry Potter), but it didn't really matter the Rockies lost anyways. Sometimes they confuse me, they win against the first place teams, and lose against the last place teams. Wierd, but I guess that's baseball!! Should be good games this week, with the Padres, and that one team that Gary roots for, their name escapes me. Oh, well.

Bummer about Carpenter. The Cards just can't catch a break this year.

Gary, those are great shots! How fun! They have some good height in their jumps and they look like they are very aggressive going after the ball. I love to see that! Watching those volleyball games would be a good time. Better than watching Rockies right now! Maybe they'll feel better about playing at home for awhile!
