My DH and I are fans of the Jacksonville Suns. They're a AA franchise of the LA Dodgers. They're not doing that well this year :( , but in the past we've been able to see some great games. Gabe Kepler and Dave Roberts came up through the Suns and ended up on the 2004 Red Sox (my favorite team ;) ). Randy Johnson also started his baseball career with the Suns. Several years ago, we saw John Smoltz make a rehab start for the Greenville Braves, and my son got his autograph :D . But the most memorable time was when we got to see one of the greatest ballplayers of all time. He was playing for the Birmingham Barons..unfortunately, he wasn't a great BASEBALL player! His name...Michael Jordan! :)

Hey JOANNE did I mention before that Dave Roberts grew up here and went to our local high school? Was (I guess he still is a good friend of a friend of mine's son) Wish he was still a DODGER and not a giant!

Well we got a win last night at Busch Stadium :carrot: Let's hope it continues. Kip Wells tonight he needs a win.

My husband and son Mathew are at the game.

Matthew just called, and said he got Roger Clemens' autograph! He stopped and signed for a few people a little while ago. Matthew's really excited-he's been lucky at Waterfront Park in Trenton. Last summer he got Gene Michael and Carl Pavano's autograph, and he met and got Sparky Lyle's autograph at a Somerset Patriots game last summer :D

My DODGERS are off tonight after a win yesterday.

I won't be seeing too much baseball for a few days....

my daughter gets married on Saturday...rehersal dinner and stuff tomorrow, wedding and reception Saturday, Sunday come back home and start the BBQ for all the family out for the wedding. A little shuffleboard and bocce ball and a lot of fun.

So my Rockies are finally learning how to play!!! 5 game win streak!!!! It doesn't happen very often for us, so it's really exciting!!! Hopefully they can keep it together and keep winning! It'd be nice to get back to .500, but who knows. Next up, the cardinals, so I'll be thinking about all of you. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!

Ok, crazynette, 2/4!! Grrrrr...But what can I expect from the Cards when the dang Cubs are ahead of them!!!

So our streak ends at 7, but still for us that's awesome!!! It was a good run, but the Cards definitely played better than us tonight. It would have been nice if their bats had decided to not show up for a couple more games, and get our streak to 9, but oh well!! Here's to a good game tomorrow!

Good to see a win last night. When the big 3 are playing well the whole team follows.

:( sad news about Yadi he's ome of the best catchers. The Cards have some bad luck with injuries this year.
