One that comes to mind (I am big at inserting foot in mouth!) is when I was in 4th grade. My little brother had already left school, shorter days, his teacher noticed that he had left his lunch pail there. She brought it into my class to give to me to take home. Well, it was a Lone Ranger lunch pail...by 4th grade we were so GROWN UP, so we were brown baggin it or doing the cafeteria thing. Well, needless to say the kids started :rofl: laughting when she handed it to me...not wanting to disrupt the class she just walked up and handed it to me...of course I was FRONT ROW! Let me tell I am one that turns red but I took it to ANOTHER LEVEL that day!!

most embarrassing moment....(there have been so many)...

I was presenting a patient history as we were writing new mock oral exams...I had been practising my public speaking so as not to stammer and sound like an idiot... I confidently read outloud...

"The patient was feeling himself well".....at that point, the supervising doc. snorted his coffee through his nose.

Another one that comes to mind was about 22 year ago. I was a new member at our church (which I still attend almost every week). I was invited to help set up for the annual Luau at one of the members homes, a really nice home. Well, after the work was done all the men went to hang out and have drinks at the owners home bar. I had just met these guys, one being our pastor ~ still is ~ and BELIEVE IT OR NOT I am really :o shy :o Of course they were all pleasant and cordial to me but they didn't know me and I was at least 10 years younger than them, I was just sitting there eating peanuts, they were talking about a women (who ended up being a good friend of mine) that was just told by her husband that he was leaving her ~ Well, just as these words came out I CHOCKED on a peanut! Which I guess sounded like a snicker...which made them all look at me...I COULD NOT talk! still chocking inside...one of the guys looks at me and says "don't laugh it could happen to you" I just stared at him chcking to death in my throat but too afraid to move! I eventually got it gagged down...but by then too late and too embarrased to EXPLAIN my situation. Boy did I feel so low for something I did not do ~ how do you say KARMA! ;) Anyway, I ended up being friends with all of them and spent many times together without incident. Oh, and the lady...she ended up becoming a great friend of my wife...in fact so good she helped her pack when she left me! :lol: I can't thank her enough ;) We all still go to church together!
