Similar thing happened with the great grandpa that backed up the freeway. He was old enough to get his driver's license from the back of the Sears Roebuck catalog! He finally agreed to give up his driving privileges when he hit a guy on a motorcycle and sent him to the hospital. sigh.
I don't drive at all, I'm too scared of all the freaks on the road. Like the jackass that almost hit me. I'm still mad, and I think I will put in a complaint to the apartment managers. I live in Eugene, the land of hippies and I kid you not when I tell you I saw a man who was smoking pot with one hand (it was summer the window was down, it was definately weed) and turned around smacking his small child in the back seat with the other hand... driving with his knees. Terrifying! |
Unreal! My son will be old enough to drive in two years and I don't really want him on the road because it takes experience to get away from the idiots that are out there weaving in and of traffic, flying down the freeway when there's black ice everywhere, etc. One day two fools were racing down my street (residential neighborhood - lots of kids). In an attempt to pass his competitor, one idiot drove onto the sidewalk and then across 5 lawns! By the time the police arrived, they were gone.

My DD got her license recently. While she was still learning, I'd have to ride with her. She would constantly be pointing out bad drivers and things that people did wrong. I'm glad to know she is a safe and contentious driver! If only she had a sense of direction! (In another thread I told her story of taking a wrong turn and ending up 100 miles the wrong way--at night!).
