Terrible Movies!!

I thought since it's Oscar "season" we could do a list of the worst movies you have ever watched. They also have the Razzie Awards, which is the worst movies of the year. I have a few bad ones...:chin:

1. Freddy Vs. Jason- I should have guessed by the title that it would be stupid, but OH MY!!

2. The Animal I thought it would fall under the category of movies that are so stupid they're funny. Well it was just stupid.

3. 28 Days Later- And this got good reviews. I thought it was terrible.

4. Pulse :?:

5. Catwoman

I have a whole list, but I'm sure I'll think of more later...

I actually liked 28 days later (kind of, or at least I didn't think it was bad). The others, I don't know as I haven't seen them. I saw Hard Candy and thought it wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either.

Jersey Girl
Joe vs. the Volcano

oh heck...I saw one not terribly long ago that was awful. what was that.

I see lots of bad movies. LOTS. Jeff and I have Netflix and On Demand movies on cable, so we watch a lot of movies, and I would say a good 70 percent of them are pretty bad. We watched one recently called "The Butcher." It really should have been called "Super-Low-Budget Copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Only Worse."

My vote for the worst movie is anything where people get killed/slaughtered/murdered...you know...horror movies. That and porn movies. Both leave me feeling disturbed with the human race.

nelie 01-24-2007 06:44 PM

I like horror movies but I totally forgot about Hostel. It was way too much for me.

The Marine (w/John Cena). Even though John Cena has an unbelievable body this movie was soooooooo bad. Bad script, bad plot, bad acting all the way around. The only reason I watched it because I was on vacation w/my parents and didn't want to stay in the hotel for the evening and decided to catch a movie by myself. This was the only movie playing within the time frame that I was there. Boy was that a waste of time! I should've stayed in with the parents and did crosswords with them

Snakes on a plane *blah!*

JackieB 01-24-2007 08:50 PM

Yeah, Hostel was a little too much and those type of movies don't usually bother me...

Oh the remake of The Hills Have Eyes was awful. A couple parts disturbed me for a few days!

Awful as in a bad movie, or awful as in horrifically graphic? Being disturbed for a few days afterward is what made it a GREAT movie to me :dizzy: I've seen soooo many "scary" movies that it takes a lot to really get a reaction out of me now, and The Hills Have Eyes remake definitely did it for me.

As for Hostel, I think I would have liked the movie more if it didn't have to focus so much on naked women--I swear there were about 12 too many nude breasts in that one. Oh, and you all know they're making a Hostel 2, right?

Ha, I loved Joe vs. The Volcano "I know he can GET the job, but can he DO the job" (I still say that randomly).

The movie I hated but everyone loved - The Fifth Element. I still don't know how the opera singing alien chick planned to hand over those special rocks. Luckily she was shot and Bruce Willis was able to just reach in through her wounds and remove them! Also hated the love will save the day cheese ending.

Movie I love but other people generally hate - Grease 2!

I used to love horror movies, but I just can't get into the Hostel/Saw/Hills Have Eyes "torture" flicks. I did like 28 Days Later (love zombie flicks AND Cillian Murphy). They are planning a sequel for later this year - 28 Weeks Later.

I gotta put my vote in on "28 Days Later" too. That movie sucked...hard.

Glory, you hated "Fifth Element"??????????? Maybe I can't understand that though since I'm a bit of a Bruce Willis freak. I like ANYTHING he's in. ;)

I can't frankly think of bad movies. My problem is, once watching them, I promptly forget them. If they're "that" bad that is. I remember "28 Days Later" was a real dissapointment, but don't recall much of it even now.

JackieB 01-24-2007 10:25 PM

I guess the Hill Have Eyes thing had to do with a few things...

One of them being I can't stand to see animals get hurt. Dumb, I know, when humans are being slaughtered.

The other is the whole baby being involved thing. Even though she wasn't hurt, it came too close for me.

Yeah, I know I'm a dork.

Anyone see the Exorcist Beggining? I turned it off after about 40 minutes.

SmartButt 01-24-2007 10:36 PM

I'm so glad to find other people that hated 28 Days Later as much as I did. When I said I hated it, people looked at me like I'd just insulted their mother or something. I was bored throughout the entire thing.

And Joe vs. the Volcano... I dated someone who claimed that to be the #1 best movie of all time and had every line memorized. I would rather tear my eyeballs out than watch a single moment of that movie again.

I want to add "Clerks" to this list. I'm sure that will get me crucified, since Kevin Smith fans LOOOOVE anything Kevin Smith does, but I absolutely 100% *hated* that movie. My dog has better acting skills. And I don't even HAVE a dog.
