Gary, DD drives a Honda Civic. I used to drive a Honda Civic. It's my DH's fault that I drive an Infiniti.....I was looking to upgrade from my 6 year old Chrysler to perhaps a Ford Escape (but we have an Expedition, so why get 2 SUV's). We started at one end of the auto mall (Ford) and ended up at Infiniti just for the heck of it and he ran into an old friend. Half an hour later, he's still talking to his friend (the salesman) and I've fallen in love with the Infiniti. So, it's all his fault!! :dizzy:

Oh, and our "fleet" trucks at work are all Fords. Nothing wrong with a "found on road dead" or "fix or repair daily" car! LOL

Oh I don't think leasing is bad unless you are using it to buy a car you can't otherwise afford. If someone knows what a lease is and what they are getting into, then that is fine. If somone says "Wow I can get a $40k car for $300 month" then they are asking for trouble.

Also, when I bought my car, I got free maintenance for 3 years lease or no lease.

Hi everyone!

I've been reading various posts in this forum over the past couple of weeks and decided that it was time to actually post something =)

I know this has nothing to do with dieting, but I would like to know if any of you have had a BMW 323i... and if you have, did you like it? Did you have problems with it? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I'm torn because a Lexus and the BMW. While I have had a Lexus in the past and loved it - it's a fantastic car - I'm looking for something new. I've read some reviews on this particular BMW and they just don't sound too good. It sounds like the car is constantly in the shop with things going wrong. With my Lexus, there was never anything major that I had to do with it.

Thanks so much!!!

DH has a BMW 325i. He LOVES his car! It is a bit pricey to maintain. It costs $150 for an oil change and his beemie prefers premium gas. Repairs can be VERY expensive. However, he got an extended warranty which covers 6 years/ 100,000 miles in addition to the manufacturers warranty. It covers 100% of repairs (except for wear and tear stuff) with no deductible. I'd highly recommed checking into an extended warranty (make sure it is a reputable company) IF you get a bmw.

Consumer reports is a good site to check. also kbb dot com (kelley blue book)

I drive a civic and LOVE it! ha!

Hi everyone - Thanks for all the great information. I decided against the 323i because I felt that they really skimped on the interior and it was inferior to what I wanted. I did test drive other cars with Mercedes and Infiniti being in the group - I settled on a BMW 528i, I think. I'm really happy with it and just got it last night. I just wanted something that I've never had in the past... Thanks again for the great replies and website!

Actually it was a North County ford dealership that is the reason I'll never buy another ford. The car was fine but the service was horrid! Actually the car is still ticking, I sold it to a (very) happy friend.

One of my favorite Fords was a 1966 Mustang fastback. DH bought it to race in vintage car races. It was fun but expensive. We sold the car a couple years ago. We're still trying to unload his Oldsmobile stock car. I think he raced that less than 6 times and then he and his buddies decided that the thousands they were spending on race weekends could be better spent elsewhere. I sure was glad about that!
