Does it have flat beds in First Class?

Depends on where you sit. You get a fluffy or feathered mattress and pillow though!

bargoo 04-24-2013 08:45 AM

I'd be afraid that the feathered mattress would actually be a griffon.

Rhiko 04-24-2013 09:43 AM

Depends on whether you choose to fly First Class or not. Flying First Class gets you a mattress and pillow that is made from hand-pluck...picked feathers and fur :D

Rhiko 04-25-2013 07:07 AM

Have I lost everyone again? lol

BillBlueEyes 04-25-2013 09:03 AM

I wear a down vest - sold as goose down, but I suspect it to be Chinese duck down.

Which doesn't address the question of whether you intend to frighten your next class (as differs from First Class) with a 50 meter griffon. Whose down isn't sold in this country, a shame, really, since that 'salota down.

bargoo 04-25-2013 09:27 AM

That reminds me of the old question ......

How do you get down from an elephant?
You don't you get down from a duck.

Rhiko 04-25-2013 10:51 AM

It is a lot of down, especially if you are in the next class which is the underside of the griffon! This is a little trickier now that my griffon has been downsized (after actually measuring, via googlemaps on my street, how tall 25 metres is!).

A giant duck? Like my griffon? ;)

Rhiko, remember there are two definitions for the word down.
Do I have to draw you a picture ? Sheesh!

Sigh. Yes, I know you mean down feathers. I'm asking if you get the feathers from a giant duck, just like the ones in first class are from my giant griffon. However, a giant duck would also help to step down from an elephant, so I was playing on both meanings.

But please, draw a picture if you want to.

I like that, adding humour and deflecting. I should learn that skill :D

I get the feeling this thread is going to die out. It seems there are only a small handful of us who are posting. Oh well. Life goes on.

Speaking of life, does anyone have anything interesting, random or totally made up that's happening?

Karen31 04-28-2013 10:58 AM

Happy Sunday!!

The first commercial planting of Chinese gooseberries occurred in 1937 in New Zealand by the orchardist Jim MacLoughlin.
We call them Kiwifruit, or just Kiwi, around here.

This thread has been through worse than this. Threadkiller refuses to die.

I had gooseberries when I was growing up in Minnesota and they had no resemblance to Kiwi, whatsoever.

Threadkiller is as dead as "Jimmy" Hoffa - just missing a proper burial.

That is what happens when you don't eat enough gooseberries.

IanG 04-28-2013 08:49 PM

You can't get gooseberries for love or money where I live in the US. Might need to try different types of love.

sunster2 04-28-2013 08:55 PM

try shoe polish love

IanG 04-28-2013 08:58 PM

Would that involve vigorous rubbing?

sunster2 04-28-2013 09:07 PM

in circular motions

Rhiko 04-28-2013 10:15 PM

Wax on, wax off

IanG 04-28-2013 10:26 PM

Candles? In the bedroom? Or the kitchen?

bargoo 04-29-2013 08:17 AM

A few years ago I broke my shoulder, in trying to recover my physical therapist was recommending different things I could do at home. She suggested wax on wax off and she mentioned Karate Kid. I didn't know what she was talking about. I told this to my son and said I would have to remt Karate kid. Ah , no need he explained it to me.

Thank you for helping herd this group back to the topic.

I've read that the UFO is red, but haven't seen it. Is it certain?

No, this is the Cadillac Allante Owners club. Happy Spring!

BillBlueEyes 04-29-2013 08:49 PM

Hmmmm . . . well . . . maybe.

But maybe we're the Yugo thread. Perhaps the worst car in automobile history.

Karen31 04-29-2013 08:50 PM

There is always the Corvair.....had one of those too

Rhiko 04-30-2013 01:41 AM

Jeremy Clarkson and co. believe the Lexus SC430 is the worst car in the world...

BillBlueEyes 04-30-2013 06:24 AM

You make a good a point.

The Lexus SC430 costs just under US $70,000 and is clumsy with poor handling.

The Yugo costs just under US $4,000 and is clumsy with poor handling.

There's a lot of room with US $66,000 to add ugly.

IanG 04-30-2013 06:29 AM

Yeah, but can you fix stupid?

I broke some yesterday and I can't seem to put it back together.
