So I assume that once and for all we ALL can agree that gobal warming is a myth?

Ruthxxx 01-12-2010 06:09 AM

Let's just call it "climate change". We are getting a heat wave this week. It's going up to 34ºF on Friday.

EZMONEY 01-12-2010 07:26 AM

Expecting a lot of rain here every single day next week....

Good Morning Fellow Threadkillers! Enjoy your day!

Karen31 01-12-2010 09:11 AM

YAY!!! Weather Forecast.... We are supposed to hit 40 today and 52 tomorrow!! Now I'm getting happier.

mrsaugie 01-12-2010 09:32 AM

well we are looking at the low to mid- 30's for awhile like through the weekend.

zanheltangia 01-12-2010 09:36 AM

;p

I lean toward Ruthxxx's climate change theory, but I acknowledge global pollution!

What a depressing thought for a Tuesday...

I should be getting rain this weekend and it'll warm up some, supposedly.
41F now...

I've got my hobo gloves on as I type this. Yay, warm hands! :D

One step closer to office temperature domination, moohawhawhawhaw!

cathydoe 01-12-2010 01:44 PM

Our bodies are so strange...here it is 23 degrees outside...and it feels warm! I even walked out to the mailbox without a coat...and I didn't feel cold. And I didn't have my coat zipped when I went on an errand! It feels so WONDERFUL outside! I can't wait for the 30's!! And the 40-50's HOLY COW watch out!

zanheltangia 01-12-2010 06:54 PM

...

:D I could just see me hauling butt to get the mail and race back to the warm house, good exercise!

Karen31 01-12-2010 09:16 PM

This was just too good not to share...

"DAMN POST OFFICE"

There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses.

One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it to see what it was about. The letter read:

Dear God,
I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension.
Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension payment. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?
Sincerely, Edna

The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars.

By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman. The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends.

Christmas came and went. A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.

It read:

Dear God,
How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift.
By the way, there was $4 missing. I think it might have been those b******s at the post office.
Sincerely, Edna

:lol3: Thanks for the laugh, Karen.
We might make it to above the freezing point during the day toward the weekend, it will still freeze at night. We are not likely tomake it out of the 30s though

Ruthxxx 01-13-2010 07:33 AM

 I'm off to the gym. It's getting bright out there! Yahoo!

cathydoe 01-13-2010 10:00 AM
