egg nog without the booze seems a bit, well, pointless. Not that I tend to drink much, but I do like a bit of something special around the holidays.

I don't like regular eggnog, but this guy I used to work with made an eggnog that he put into dark bottles and they had to be aged somehow along in the process. Terribly potent, but darn tasty!! I have the recipe somewhere, but I don't know if I could handle drinking it anymore!!

Ewwwwwwww I am very blessed because I do not like eggnog. Not even one little tiny bit! Something I DON'T have to worry about for the Holiday Season. Bring on the EGGNOG!!:stir:

Happy Saturday. I just baked a sherry cake and burned it! Never try a new recipe in a new pan. I may just trim it up and ice the sides. It has a pretty snowflake pattern on the top so will just sprinkle icing sugar on that part. Grrr!
(Can you tell I seldom have baking failures?)

On a better note, I found the missing leg for the artificial Christmas Tree stand so the "Bling" Tree will reign supreme in the parlour. The new one can go out on the deck since it's an outdoor tree anyhow.

I'm off to a party tonight - of course! "Tis the season."

Bringing into the basement everything from outside that isn't rooted because 6 to 12 inches of snow is predicted beginning after midnight. This could get tough on late shoppers.

At the supermarket this morning, there was a line blocking the street just trying to get into the parking lot. Ouch. And I thought I had gone early, LOL.

Hello all! I have officially started the Holiday. I am on the way to TN to see my sister and her family! The motel I am staying in will wrap 5 packages for free. But my car is packed like a science...and I hate to mess it up! Plus I like to wrap presents. Ho Ho Ho!

Good morning. I hope the Easterners survived the snow dump. We are still cold and clear here but I'm sure that will change.

After Church this morning, the day is all mine as I opted out of an Open House this afternoon. I'm sure I'll manage to fill the time - I may even get a few Christmas cards done for the Elderlies and the Littles.
