Tummy Trouble

I've been eating a lot of fruit stuff lately. Frozen mostly, and pure juice. And I've been taking some supplements that are suppose to support your digestive system and detox it as well. Lately, I've been getting a lot of stomach cramps. They don't usually last long, but they can get painful sometimes. Is this cause my body is detoxing and cleaning out my digestive track?

Fruit can cause diarrhea. That's why folks think they're being detoxed because everything moves thru faster. So sure hypermotility of the bowel can be uncomfortable.

It's not that bad yet. Actually, neither the fruit nor the pills are causing things to move as they should. I'm still pretty bound up. It's mostly gas right now. I was hoping the pills would help, since one is a fiber supplement.

Oh yes ... if you have (I'm going to get graphic here, it's the nurse in me, can't help it) ... if you have hard stool in there the gas and hypermotility will cause some uncomfortable burblings.
Pardon the pun but ... this'll pass :)

I don't mind graphic. It's cool. :) And that WAS a bad pun. :p But okay. Maybe more real fiber, like crackers or bread, might help a little. My grandma always said soda crackers were good for gas and other tummy stuff. I just wish I knew another way to soften things up without using a laxative or prune juice.

What about psyllium like Metamucil?

I'll try that. I've been meaning to buy some Glucomannan, but it's hard to find. Popular stuff. But I'll see about getting some other fiber stuff. Thanks.
