Default For those who like chicken liver...

... LOL now I can just hear a lot of "liver haters" saying "eewwww." But for those who like it, the following makes a great liver pate.

Boil a small carton (or package) of chicken livers until they are tender. Drain off the water and mash with a fork. Add chopped red onion and a bit of Miracle Whip Free and mix thoroughly. Spread on corn cakes (or rice cakes, WASA bread, etc.) and place a big thick slice of fresh tomato on each one! Yummy!!!!! Really!

I love chicken livers, but because of their cholesterol content, I eat them very rarely.

I like beef liver, too.

Your recipe sounds good, I like liver pate.

Hi Linda... yes you do have to be careful about too many because of the cholesterol level. I haven't made these for a long time but have been craving them so think I will make some this weekend!!!

You know, one of my favorite things to get from a restaurant up the street from where I worked at the time had THE BEST chicken livers. Breaded and fried, lol!

I used to love those things.

Yeah, I don't eat the breaded and fried stuff anymore. In fact I haven't had liver in a long time. Although when I roast a chicken that has the livers included, I'll bake the livers as well and sneak them when they're done, lol.
