Baking Corn... Any Secrets??

Hello all

I have been baking my veggies in the oven and love the corn on the cob done this way but it tends to get a bit harder than I like. I am putting a pan of water in the oven to see if this moistens it up any. But thought I would ask if anyone knows any "secrets" to making it come out moister? I brush it with olive oil and a bit of cooking spray.

Thanks

Don't know if this helps for the oven but....

Before grilling corn on the cob outside I remove the outer husk and leave the tender inner leaves. Then I soak the whole thing in water ... Just before grilling, I wrap it in foil and whalla..

Interesting... I had heard of leaving it in the husks was not sure that was safe in the oven. But wrapped in foil it should be okay. A friend suggested putting the pan of water in the oven with it and I tried that tonight and was surprised... it did help.

Thanks for the advice!!!!

I do mine on the grill also. It is the best. I buy frozen corn on the cob. Wrap each piece in aluminum foil and add a little dab of whatever butter product you use. My kids love it too!

Thanks!! I don't have a grill except a George Foreman one. But I only buy the fresh stuff. I do have some almost no calorie butter substitute I could dab on it and wrap it. Maybe I will give it a try! I appreciate the advice.
