Default What's For Breakfast?

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I love it!

Wondering what everyone eats for breakfast. We all know it's the most important meal of the day.

My favorite meal of the day is breakfast. Since I *always* seem to be on a diet and feel guilty about *everything* I eat, I tend to eat the same breakfast day in, day out, which is:

one Wheatabix biscuit with an addtional sprinkle of high fiber flake type of cereal on top of which I add a half cup EACH of defrosted raspberries, strawberries and blueberries with an addtional cut up kiwi fruit on top...not done yet....plus tsp. each of pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and chopped walnuts.

Sounds like a lot, doesn't it? It keeps me energized until lunch time.

Uh, no...doesn't sound like a lot to me! Here are my standard breakfasts:

1) Protein pancake (4 egg whites, 1/3 c. lowfat cottage cheese, 1/4 c. dry oatmeal, 1/4 c. fiber 1 cereal, vanilla, cinnamon....throw it all in the blender and wing it around until it's a batter, pour it into a preheated non-stick skillet, cook, flip, cook), with an apple, peach, pear or blueberries on top and sugar free syrup. Coffee.

2) 1/2 cup oatmeal (dry) cooked with 1 cup water in the microwave, 1/2 c. cottage cheese, 1/2 apple. Coffee.

3) 6 egg whites, 1/4c. non-fat cheddar cheese, spinach, green peppers, onions. Cook into an omelette. 1/2 c. dried oatmeal, cooked with 1 c. water OR 1/2 100% whole wheat english muffin.

4) My new favorite: 4 egg whites, 1/4 c. ff cheddar melted on cooked whites, 1 oz. lean ham, 1/2 whole wheat english muffin.

and coffee

I never ate breakfast. That was one of the first things I learned to do. Everyday I have frozen fruit whizzed with protein powder and crushed flaxseed.

My most common breakfast is 1 egg, half a slice of American cheese, 1 veggie sausage (Morningstar Farms), and 1 english muffin all put together as a sandwich. That and a glass of milk keeps me satisfied for hours, and it's only about 325 calories!

Oatmeal, no sugar or splenda, chopped apple and a few walnuts mixed in. Also good with extra wheat germ or flax mixed in.

Frozen waffle or whole wheat toast with peanut butter and sliced banana.

Plain ff yogurt with chopped fresh fruit.

Eggs with vegetarian breakfast links (Boca are very spicy, Morningstar Farms are tasty and milder).

My breakfast is about the same every day, but I like to throw a new twist in now and again just to jazz things up.

1 cup of oatmeal prepared with water.
1 8oz glass of skim milk.

In my oatmeal I like to add one or more of the following:

1/4 cup of kashi go lean crunch
1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter (sounds weird, but it's very good)
1/4 cup dried cranberries
5 walnut halves (raw) crumbled

That is how I mix it up in the morning. Keeps me so happy until lunch.

Always a small bowl of steel cut (slow cook) oatmeal, followed by one of these:

Eggbeaters & lowfat cheese omelet (or boiled egg)
Protein shake with ground flax seed
Barley flour, ricotta & orange pancake, scrambled eggbeaters
Sprouted 20 grain toast with slice low fat cheese
Eggwhite or eggbeaters frittata with smoked salmon, spinach & green onions + slice toasted sprouted 20 grain bread
Mushroom omelet made with eggbeaters + slice of sprouted 20 grain toast
Slice of leftover quiche

Breakfast is usually around 400 calories and gives me lots of energy to face the day!

Sometimes I'll eat cereal or steel cut oats, but I usually prefer a sandwich, leftover dinner, or other nontraditional breakfast foods. I also like smoothies for breakfast.

Mmm..oatmeal with Golean Crunch sounds yummy!

My favorite weekend breakfast is:
1 slice WW toast or English muffin half topped with
1 slice canadian bacon and a fried egg
and if it happens to be lunchtime already, I add black beans and salsa and a little bit of mozzerella.. YUUMMM. Must get to store for more Canadian bacon!

I love cereal. My favorite breakfast lately is a large bowl of enriched bran flakes -- 1.5 cups with 1 cup of skim milk.
