I think so few responses because the hard truth is, cakes are inherently off limits for most dieters due to their composition...flour, sugar, fat. Yum
Some have success with reduced calorie versions, substituting Splenda for some of the sugar, fruit purees for some of the fat ...but one still has to exercise portion control.
For me, just the word "cakes" is an instant vision of a layered, shiveringly sweet, moist slice of deliciousness that starts my stomach growling and sends me down the Evil Thinking Path
a place where I try so hard to avoid.
