Kale chips in the microwave
This is the best thing since the potatoe chip ;)
If your like me and like something with that satisfying crunch take some pieces of kale, A Small amount of olive oil ( just enough to coat the leaves) and some salt (or any other yummy spice you like, Onion salt is really good!). Put in the microwave for 3 minutes or until crisp and crunchy. Make sure not to over crowd leaves on plate. SOOOO good, Great movie snack without the guilt. They actually do get crisp and crunchy! Just as good as the ones at whole foods at 1/4 the price. |
Cool! I usually just bake them, haven't tried the microwave! Going to have to try this since it seems much quicker than using the oven :)

Never done them in the microwave. Thanks for the cool tip.

I've never done the microwave either! Oh my gosh, lol... you just saved me a bunch of time! Thanks! :D

I just made my first batch of kale chips in the oven, and I'm in love! :dizzy: Will try the microwave next... To boost the flavor without adding much salt, I sprayed the leaves with a mixture of olive oil and white vinegar. It slightly increases the cooking time needed to get a dry, delicate texture, but the extra zing is worth it.
