Ian your experiment doesn't seem to be any better than the sort of experiment most of the claims made for green tea. The results are probably a placebo effect or calorie reduction elsewhere in your diet. How could we possibly know.

Yes canadjineh, I have heard too that adding lemon can be beneficial. I add it sometimes.

And, OMG Pattience thinks my intentions are trying to be scientific. LMAO!

I'm just having a little fun. Which, in my experience, is the best way to succeed at losing weight and maintain!

Green tea could be BS for all I care. But it sure is fun trying!

Wahey! I frickin' love riding this rollercoaster!

Well no but i thought you were sounding pretty positive that your experiment was was coming up with positive results.

You should read the article anyway since you may want to know about the lead content of a lot of green tea which i hardly think is gonna be fun for anyone.

As I see it, the green tea is full of health benefits. The bathroom effects are worth it in themselves. If it helps at all with weight, go for it!

There are some people who go out and get drunk every night because they heard that alcohol is beneficial!

Well, I am up 1.6lbs today. But I always gain at least one day a week and it is usually a Tuesday. Let's hope I get back to losses tomorrow.

you just motivated me enough to start drinking green tea IanG I had almost given up coffee with an occasional cup 2-3 times a week but I guess Green Tea has more health benefits so I'm gonna try it out too!

Wahey nitrus29! Good luck with it. I am really starting to enjoy the stuff. No change in weight today but I poo-ed after my weigh-in so we all know what that means. Hopefully a loss tomorrow.

Do you use any sugar or artificial sweetener in it or drink it "as is."

I take mine without sugar or sweetener. I prefer to have honey but not in tea (just with my oats and salad).

Down 0.4lbs today to 166.8lbs. My verdict, so far, is that green tea is not really aiding my weight loss but I am getting fewer fluctuations. I am guessing it could be a diuertic effect, which is good because I get crazy water weight.

But I'll keep trying. Like I said, I am sold if I get below 161.

How's the green tea treating you, Ian? Still on a losing streak?

I had a wedding to go to so did not have the time to post.

It's my gain day today so I am 166.4lbs. I am still drinking lots of the stuff.

So let's keep going and see where I end up!

Ian what brand of tea are you drinking? I wish it would send me to the bathroom. I can't wait to see how this goes for you.

Sum I know you said you go to Sam's/Costco, is it their brand that you use?

The brand is called Bigelow, Rennie. I buy it from Sam's. It has 160 bags and is around $10
