Chinese takeout: what the heck do they put in that stuff???
I had Chinese takeout for dinner last night, and, as one would expect, the scale went a little bit up in the morning. I ate a couple hundred calories more than usual, but still less than I burned (I think, although I had to estimate the calories in the takeout). I think most of the weight was water, because I always drink a big glass before I go to bed, and normally when I wake up I have to "go" but not this morning (is that how water retention works?).
Does anyone else retain water when they eat Chinese takeout? Why does this happen? |
I would guess its from the sodium, and because of it, your body is holding onto that water.

Okay... I only gained a few ounces... and if I gained water weight from a sodium bomb... that means I actually lost weight. ;)
